Re: How to make a high Y bar ?

That being said - why bother at all? Kites designed to fly on Y-bars work perfectly fine with V-bars, it's the other way around that you might actually notice any difference in kite's behaviour and yet alone - to have any real issues. Can you please expain further? I dont understand why v-bar desig...

Converting Bar from Low V to High V

Firstly, how much difference does a low v and high v make in the flying characteristics of a kite? I have just purchased an fone bandit that flies on high v bar line setup but I only have low v bars. Does anyone know how to temporarily adapt a bar to convert it to a high v instead of a low v setup? ...

Re: Kitemare on my Diablo

Good questions. I am also a recent Diablo owner and have the same question. If it is the case that the Diablo crashes leading edge down in light wind and one cannot relaunch, what is the best method to self rescue? Can someone with more experience provide the steps/method they use? Would be greatly ...

Mui Ne/Malibu vs Sri Lanka Waves

I was wondering if anyone could compare the waves I can find south of kalpitiya (reef off alankuda beach and beach break farther south) to those waves you can find on Malibu beach in Mui Ne. I have been to Malibu a couple of times so I think that would be a good comparison point. Are they of similar...

Re: RPM vs Catalyst vs FX

Just to be clear, I am referring to the 2015 and prior catalyst, not the 2016. I am referring to it only because I have flown the 2013 catalyst for 3 years so I know it well. I flew RPM for the three years prior so I know it well. I also forgot to mention that I am also looking for a kite with a sma...

Re: RPM vs Catalyst vs FX

I am also looking towards some five strut designs like the switch nitro or best ts. Anyone can let me know the difference between say the cabrinha fx and a best ts? How about wind range? I imagine jumping on these five strut design kites should be slightly better due to the higher aspect ratio?

RPM vs Catalyst vs FX

Throughout my kiting career, I have used the RPM and Catalyst. Both have pros and cons and I am looking for something in the middle. The RPM I love the loops and the general feel of this kite. In higher wind I feel comfortable looping the kite. I do not like the vertical boost, it is not so great co...

Re: SS Fuel 2017

Yes why did they stop making the bridle? It seems appealing to me. I like the fuel but considering I am only able to kite a couple times a month, the fuel really kicks my ass sometimes and I can kite for much longer sessions on an RPM. I was super intrigued by the bridle and curious as to why they s...

Re: Perfect Foil Kite Size to Reach the Extreme Low End with Hydrofoil

I agree with your friend. Been foilboarding since 2005 and what many newbies to foilboarding don't understand is that the demands for lightwind riding are different from conventional kitesurfing. Unless you are racing and looking for maximum power on the move the most important thing you need to lo...
