Topic: adding fins to a skimboard

I kited on the day, and had a Rhino 14 and a skimboard over the mud and sand at Machans Beach. It was late afternoon, about 6 hours after the cyclone hit, but still in the same daylight. 11knots max. It was the calm after the storm, but I just HAD to tick off both events on the one day. Before anyon...

I am onto my second Garmin Forerunner 201 - dowloading to PC is great to see more info about your session, looking at the ant trail from your run etc etc. The Forerunner is tiny and fits comfortably on your wrist. It's amazing how much distance you rack up over time kiting. http://homepage.mac.com/b...

To answer your question Kitegrom, the park in Cairns offers 6 month unlimited membership for about $600. An hour casual session is $34 I think, but the day I went, there was a special for $27. Show your locals ID and get it for $22. There are monthly membership options as well I think. There are day...

Founder and Creative Director of an advertising agency. I was encouraging my staff to kite 1 by 1, then realised when the wind was right, people would start disappearing. I set up a Webcam on a windspeed meter right in front of my house on the beach and when those pretty little LCD figures hit 10+, ...

That's a good point. The bystanders don't choose to do an extreme sport, so why should they be at risk?

It's a long weekend, it's raining and there isn't a puff of wind. Looks like I have some time on my hands. Here are some of my thoughts on this in no particular order. When there is a licensing system, there is an organisation that needs to administrate it and it's an opportunity for someone somewhe...

Ever thought about using a twin tip skimboard?
I got one for that very reason (too unco-ordinated to try moving my feet)
