Re: Looking for jumping board that's easy on the knees

If you are doing a basic pop and boost off the water then you don't need a board to make a landing easier on your knees. You just need to sheet in at the right moment on your decent to make your landing butter smooth. It also helps if you don't land stiff legged as well. Meaning you should bend your...

Re: Epic Infinity & Bullshit Light Wind Claims

I met Dimitri for the first time at one of his demos not too long ago. His first question to me was, "What do you ride?" I answered and his next statement was, "That kite is shit. Take this out and tell me what you think." I took his kite out (Screamer) and unequivocally now know that he makes some ...

Re: Ozone Edge 2012 vs 2013 Bar Pressure

I have both the 2012 and 2013 Edge (11M, 13M, 15M) and there is absolutely no difference between last year and this year's Edge as far as bar pressure. Check your setting on the kite if you feel the bar pressure is too much. I'm a little surprised you are saying you have an issue with the bar pressu...

Re: Nobile 50fifty owners - fin question

I do not know any others but I did order from these guys and I did not have a great experience. The fitment was wrong and it took them forever to ship me my fins.

I ultimately ended up paying a little more for the brand name fins off of Ebay.

Re: unwanted rotation in jump,

Just lean back (like you are in a reclining chair) as soon as you pop off the water. I like to lean waaaaay back because I like to boost really high and then look over my right shoulder when I boost so I can watch how far I float from my take off point. Leaning back against the kite will stop your r...

Re: Kitelooping for dummies

As far as I understand, if you throw the loop at the top of your jump, its less intense than if you pull it as you are leaving the water. This depends on how high you boost. If you boost moderately like the kiter in the video you will notice he is sending his kite into the loop almost as soon as he...

Re: Strutless kite in development on Maui

Sweet!!! If they release it in 2114 I'll be 146 yrs old! Niiiiice! Any news of the development of this strutless kite ? Nothing on the boardriding maui website... Rumour floating around my beach is that Naish are going to pick up the design and release it as a 2114 kite - fact or fiction ? If they d...

Lightest or thinnest booties?

I've seen a couple of threads about booties in general but I am hoping some of you can lend your 2 cents to booties that are the lightest or thinnest. I wish someone made a bootie made of air with only a sole. I want to feel as much of the board as if I were barefoot. I ride barefoot most of the tim...

Re: Do all footstraps suck

If you are looking for a very comfortable foot pad then the Fone Trax 8 is EXCELLENT! And by comfortable I mean the pad itself is very soft and the foot strap is also very soft. I have heel injuries from years of impact sports and these pads let me kite all day with NO HEEL PAIN!!! It will lock your...
