Re: its not going to happen for me

it is not a silver bullet, I am not as "converted" as many of the foil converts like starsky. There are limitations that the foil has for sure. You'd be converted if you were landlocked like he is with about 7 months a year to ride Fresh water and poor wind in general It's his only way to...

Re: Boogie board, for a cheep compact foil board?

Definitely cheap and easy blank to start with. Some shape, maybe stringers, properly mounted tracks. Nice glass job. Could be very nice.

Re: its not going to happen for me

It's not for everyone, it's more of a novelty than anything. And the people that foil here all question whether they even like it or not. It's probably addicting if you let it become addicting, but if you don't want to be addicted then don't do it. Dude! Maybe lets qualify those opinions. Can you f...

Re: its not going to happen for me

That's pretty normal. Won't be for everyone. Some places are far less suited than others. As long as you have the humility to understand that 6 days of insight is not much to base opinions on. The sport is evolving and will see its own kites with very specific traits. Everyone is welcome to their ta...

Tried the wakeskate. They work, but suffer from poor low end due to size and high rocker.

Re: North launches a foil kite

They for sure work, and really really really well but the issue for most free ride kiters is that they work so completely differently from tube kites.

Most LEI riders will be happier with the newer generation of strutless and single strut kites for everything but ultra low end hydrofoiling.
