Re: Slingshot 2010 bar unequal line length

I rebuilt an old SS bar BRM style to use with clouds. Lines all the same. Mine are second and third gen kites and pretty trim sensitive. Getting their sweet spot at the right distance makes them awesome.

Re: How to make a kite

Core. Premium kites and boards made in Germany. Engineered with passion since 2001

Put through a Core to English translator:

Core. Premiumly priced kites.

And boards made in Germany!

Disingenuous marketing since 2001

Re: New Inflation Vest

If your flirting with thin ice, that will just make sure they find your cold dead bones! Can you imagine riding in winter with one of those on. Likely a lot harder to climb out onto ice with two big bladders inflated on your chest. Put it under your coat? Nah, on Top... yeah then you look like a kit...

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

Experimenting is a tall order sometimes. Have only about half the time on the water this season for a whole host of reasons. Until I start getting bored simply getting out there, I can't bring myself to sacrifice the time.

Are you saying the drop in air pressure while in flight produces enough pressure to de-laminate the carbon wrap?
Not sure thats what he means. I took it to mean the one piece fuse/wings is harder to pack than a foil that breaks down further.

Re: New Inflation Vest

Great product, but the legitimate market is tiny! They will sell the bulk of them to posers. Imagine some dude paddles out on the coast of florida with one of these on! Not really as applicable to kiters. We benefit from padding, and the ongoing buoyancy of a little foam to help with the now you nee...

Re: Skimboard foils

There is a trade off between rocker and low end. Flat rocker and your up and going a little faster. More rocker and your not up as quick but the board is a lot nicer on inadvertent touch downs. The board I'm on now has a fair bit more rocker than the last and only pops up a fraction later. I much pr...

With a 90 cm mast I haven't had much problem. Board is pretty average skim dims. Almost 20 inches wide.

Re: Looking for Advice on Winds for My 11m LEI Kite

Most people use tube kites on snow here. Be careful like you would with it anywhere on land. Most of our riding is lake or field. Nothing alpine or back country. Your hazards may vary. Snow and ice can range from super kite friendly to sharp and super abrasive. Not as easy to give you a wind range f...
