Re: Looking for Flatwater spots in Asia

I'm in Boracay now, at the kiting beach, And I havent noticed the beach or water stinks. After a bit of web research I found they upgraded Their sewage treatment plant in 2011 increasing capacity by 250% and Hookups to 50%. They also upgraded their drinking water system. Obviously they still have a ...

Re: Looking for Flatwater spots in Asia

Boracay is pretty flat, maybe small chop, depends on tide. I've been here a month and i've ridden 4 days out of 5 on My 14 and 11. Yesterday was too windy for my 11. I like it here, Plenty of infrastructure, but also funky. Water can get very crowded, Lots of beginners and kiteschools. Also the wind...

Who wants to kite and sail the Caribbean in April/May 2013?

I'm planning to charter a 47-foot Catamaran for a kite cruise in the Eastern Caribbean from April 17-May 11 2013. The plan is to start in Tortola in the British Virgin Islands and then visit Anegada and Virgin Gorda for a week or so of kiting. Then we'll sail to St. Martin and visit kite spots there...

Re: Is Cabarete Good for Beginners?

I tried to learn how to kitesurf in Cabarete at kite beach. Couldn't do it, the waves made it hard, also crowded and not shallow enough near shore, so The instructor could not stay close to me. I gave up, tried again in Aruba, where the water is flat and shallow enough near shore. This time it click...
