Re: What makes an attractive Kite destination ?

Thanks for the quick reply. When you say not a beginner spot, what do you mean? Small launch area, rocks, or something else? Do you know any open, kite-friendly, public beach in the north? From what I hear, it looks like there is almost no space to kite on the north side... :( We were there just af...

Re: What makes an attractive Kite destination ?

Can we get some consistent wind? In addition, are most north beaches kite-friendly, or do we need access to private beaches for kit...

Re: landing kite by yourself

Better to do this in the water if you can. On land it could flip or tumble back into the window. Make sure there is nothing
immediately downwind. Do a search on this forum there are lots of good threads covering this topic.

Re: Cuba in Nov-Dec

OK... so I haven't stayed there but I have stayed at the SOL many times. The Muthu is brand new. and sustained some pretty serious damage last falls hurricane (although this is where all the managers of the other resorts hunkered down to brave the storm). It was not open when were were there at Chr...

Re: Cuba in Nov-Dec

Heading to CG in November, have a few questions regarding money. From what I understand I can exchange Canadian to CUC' s at the airport, both coming and going? I also read that I should be tipping in CUC? Do they take Mastercard or Visa anywhere? I'm guessing they don't have many ATM's as well?! I...

Re: Gear advice for 6’2” 210lb guy

I'm 6'0, 225 lbs and I ride an 8m, 11m and 14m. Covers me from 12 to 35 kts. I have three different size boards that cover me in that range. I can easily hold down the 14m in 20 kts with a small board. If I need anything bigger than a 14 that means it beer drinking time for me. Light wind kiting is...

Re: What's the dumbest thing you have seen a newbie do?

Retrieved a guys board and dropped it off downwind for him after watching him struggle to body drag with his kite at 12 o’clock the entire time. When I asked him about it afterwards he said it was too windy to fly the kite at the edge of the window?

Re: SupaEZ Where have you been?

Let it be known, I have only ever used one handle at a time. No multiple accounts. That shit is weak. And this place has most def jumped the shark. Was banned simply for being critical of Toby. No hate. Simple opinion, with plenty of out in the open examples of his behaviour cited. Nothing new, its...
