Re: after some "better" pads and straps (personal pref)

Be interested to know how you find them. I got a set of lf comps a couple months ago. Better than shinns but still not as locked in as i'd like... Maybe i ask too much! But i'd be interested to know if you find the apex's better than the lf's. Cheers!

Re: Large kite with big wind range

I had a 17 taboo (2011). It has a big range. 75kg on a small 132 tt i could go from around 12/14knts... Onshore winds and waves sucking more power out too. I reckon it'd be good from 10knts with a bigger board and still water. The top end though was really good... 22knts and i could comfortably jump...

Re: So what are you working on?

I'm trying to do my first darkslides but keep loosing my board. I'm not sure if its my technique... But I'm pretty sure the thick booties aren't helping. Anyone else have a problem doing these in booties? Also slowly building up my bottle from heli-loops to trying to do proper loops and incorporatin...

Kiting expedition

I always read of these kiting feats and expeditions and think: I fancy giving that a go. The thing is, any open water long distance trip is only ever going to last so long and you really need a safety boat etc. I've known of people doing a long distance run on snow, but that sounds too cold for me. ...

Re: POV Video - Deathlooping Kite Drags Rider Into A Rock Je

Bearing in mind that a lot of people think/wait too much before pulling releases (especially the leash one) because they dont want to loose the kite... In a situation like this (line wrap causing looping and preventing depower, especially with the beach/rocks downwind) would there be something in pu...

Re: What will kiting look like in 2023?

Despite what some say, i can't see any developed economies making a recovery and competition will get tougher and tougher. I think design is pretty much optomised too so I expect a lot of future development will centre around making kites simpler and cheaper (less struts etc) without lowering the pe...

Re: wake-skate or skim board

My vote goes on the skim board because it allows you to have fun in wind conditions which are boring on a TT. It'll be easier to learn tricks because it's all a bit slower too. I have a shinn waterbird which combines bits of both and I really like it. Maybe worth a look although not sure they're sti...

Re: Kite videos got too boring to watch!!!

Most of the kiters i know much prefer watching the varied videos or more old school riding. I only know a couple who prefer wakestyle. They are both top riders who already get sponsored kit. With this in mind, i'm suprised more companies don't target this majority with their videos, after all, isn't...
