Re: Best Kahoona Center Strut for GoPro

That last one is a really sweet shot, and exactly what I was looking for! Does the camera affect the flyability of the kite at all? Also, for that second shot did you angle the camera inwards/outwards a little or just center it? Sorry for the questions, just would like to end up with some shots like...

Re: Best Kahoona Center Strut for GoPro

Wow!
Is that really on an off centered strut? I'm on my way to but those supplies to make the center strut, but may hold off if thats just a camera adjustment on an off centered strut.

Re: Best Kahoona Center Strut for GoPro

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you have any pics of what it looks like? I'm curious to know exactly how you did it.

Thanks again

Best Kahoona Center Strut for GoPro

Hey there everyone. I'm currently the owner of a Best Kahoona 13.5. I'm sure that most ppl know that on the Kahoona there is no center strut. I'm looking to place a GoPro somewhere centered on the kite to get that cool aerial Kite-looking down shot. Placing the camera on one of the off-centered stru...

New guy headed to the Florida Keys this weekend.

Hey there everyone. I'm heading down to the Keys this weekend (10th & 11th) to get some good flat water time. Winds are looking good (consistent 17-20mph) Just wanted to know if anyone had suggestions on where to go. I'm thinking Bahia Honda & Curry Hammock state parks? I've had good luck with them ...

Re: Who's been in my shoes? Being a beginner sucks!

Hey guys, Headed to Bahia Honda State park in lower Marathon this weekend (Dec 12-14). A little worried for Friday. Winds might be up to 24mph with wave height up to about 5ft. Do you think this will be overpowered for my 13.5 Kahoona? And too choppy as well? Either way, I'd really like to give it a...

Re: Who's been in my shoes? Being a beginner sucks!

I'd just like to give a big "thank you" for all the responses here. Much appreciated I'm about 6'1" about 160. Pretty good shape. I've got a 142 board. The time I went out to Curry Hammock State Park in the keys and finally got up on the board and seriously got up and rode...was an INCREDIBLE feelin...

Who's been in my shoes? Being a beginner sucks!

Hey everyone. Just came in here to introduce myself, gain some encouragement/advice, ask questions and maybe even meet a fellow kiter in my position. Took my first lesson in April, bought a kite, began to practice on my own. Since then I've accomplished -Body dragging: down and upwind -water relaunc...

Where to go when the wind is low? (South Florida)

Good afternoon fellas. As the summer months approach in South Florida, it looks like the wind is going to die down and I won't be able to get my kiting fix by sitting on the beach twiddling my thumbs. Or so I hear. As a new kiter (still learning the board) I'm wondering what areas would provide shal...

Re: New to Florida Kiteboaring. Confused and Frustrated!!

Thanks again all. I took some advice from you all and contacted a local instructor for another 3 hour session. We're going to be out in the water on a full 4 line kite. How fast I progress is up to me. In the mean time, and hopefully after this session, I will look into purchasing a full 4 line kite...
