Re: F-One bar - how to wrap up bar in self rescue +inverted

super is correct.. you need to make sure the bar is against the yellow stopper and does not slide back down. On the B4 & B5's , I had some rescues where when I was rolling up the lines, I thought it was against the stopper , but it slid back down and power was getting back to the kite. What I do no...

Any kiters in Milos island, Greece?

I will be in Milos from 17 to 28 September and would like some company for kiting. It looks that kiting is not so popular there, and as I will be there alone for the kiting part, it would be really nice to join someone. Or can I expect to find many kites in the sea (in the big bay in the middle of M...

Re: F-One bar - how to wrap up bar in self rescue +inverted

Thank you all for the helpful tips! By inverting the kite I mean that the skin of the kite is closer towards me, I cannot see the struts and the bar is reversed, left side on the right now. I would still appreciate more info on how to fix it on the water when it inverts again.. I have a new home spo...

F-One bar - how to wrap up bar in self rescue +inverted kite

Hello fellow Bandit riders, I have just carried out two involuntary self-rescues on my new bandits 7 with the new F-One bar and was not sure how to correctly wrap up the lines. The general advise is to wrap up ONE front line first and then the rest. But does it apply to the bandit as well? They use ...

Re: Women's Impact Vest Advice

Hi, I have the first one here from NP (black with yellow upside down Y on the back), I guess it is unisex but I do not see any problem with that being a girl: http://www.npsurf.com/products/protective/impact-flotation-vests.html It looks less padded than your preferred ones, but it works fine for me...

Where to test F-One, North, or Ozone kites - Athens, Greece

Hey All, after years on rental kites and having finally moved to the sea (huraaah), we would like to choose and buy our first kites - any idea where we could test new F-One, North or Ozone models in Athens or nearby ? We have chosen these brands on the basis of our good experience when renting kites...

Re: did you do another board sport before kiting?

I snowboard a lot and I have some limited experience with surfing , windsurfing and wakeboarding before I tried kiteboarding. Now I snowboard in winter, wakeboard when there is no wind but I will always choose kiteboarding when I have the chance (which is not too often, unfortunately).. I think it i...

Re: Fuerteventura in August

To add my 2 cents, I had a brief experience with Sotavento this May - two days we drove from the north to Sotavento, to enjoy the flat water in the lagoon there, after having waited for the afternoon high tide over a week. But the lagoon was so gusty, we just could not kite there at all. It was just...

Re: Following a Yacht on a kite - questions

well, thank you all for sharing your experience.. I am not really reassured about this plan after reading all this but I will just see how it goes :-) I am well aware that the yacht is able to go upwind way better than me .. but I just want to pick a time when the yacht is not going to go upwind and...

Re: Regular or Goofy ?

Tough question :-) I am 100% regular on a snowboard but usually prefer goofy when kiting... although on some days regular feels more natural. I really dont understand it, even now, when I try to imagine which position I ride in, goofy feels so unnatural.. but I ride&jump much better this way so I mu...
