Re: Naish SLE 2007 bridle modifications

hope, one of these shows up... http://www.kiteforum.com/wiki/images/c/c5/SW2006_7m_Bridle_mod.jpg [[Image:SW2006_7m_Bridle_mod.jpg]] .... cant try it out myself right now, but this is what I meant. Except for those pigtails no additional parts are required and you can back go to the original config....

Re: Naish SLE 2007 bridle modifications

Why not try the following: - pulley B goes to position D - remove DE line, not needed anymore - move original CBD line to BDE, i.e. fix at E and B and run through new pulley at D - AC should be a single line now, but its too short, make it longer, so it matches again. this gives you roughly SB 2009 ...

same here with the Naish Shockwave. Just medium pressure. Even when when I drop it in our currently cold water and the pressure gets even lower, kite still as stable as it gets. But whats the problem in just pumping the kite hard? I dont think you would get inversions with any bow-like kite anymore ...

My comment to the original question would be: A kite without compromise between power and control is probably the ultimate goal. The huge sweet spot and the power of these kites is potentially a good step in this direction. Just easier and better control of much more power. Otherwise I agree with mu...

Hi, I demoed a Shockwave 9. The kite was incredible fun to me. Enormous sweet spot also for unhooked stuff by trimming due to pulley bar. The lift was definitely old-school, so no compromise here, scary when well powered. Aerodynamic performance, i.e. e.g. the glide, was something I did not know to ...

I once checked Gunpowder State Park. My impression was, that there is plenty of space and it was not too far from Washington. I asked a local windsurfer about any rules or restrictions and he just answered, I would be welcome to put my kite up. Unfortunately, I dont know much about the most probable...

Bow/SLE. Waveriding. Maybe Speed. Like the idea of being able to modify kite perfomance through bridle mods. Also locking a bridle configuration for low wind may be possible on future SLE/bows. Cs are a configuration subset of bows/SLE.

Cheers,

No need to convince me of these kites. I am on an SLE now after my testing. But still I need a bigger one that gets me going early and I dont have much time for testing. Thats why I dont want to waste time mis-trimming the waroo again, if at all this was the reason. If nobody else knows about this, ...

Waroo question

There might be some Best experts in this thread. Maybe they can help me out: I recently tested the Shockwave 9 and the Waroo 9 against each other in Capetown in quite strong winds but definitely <30knots average, so both should be able to handle it. When I switched to the Waroo, I had the following ...

Thanks for your comments. So RRD and Dr. L have already done it. ...well, at least now I can confirm that it works. Surpsising to me that it was not discussed more. I will keep it installed for a while and see if it makes sense. @mmumzer: I share your concern although it worked so far. It would be b...
