Re: First flatwater experience!

Flat water is sweet, like skiing corduroy, but I also love bump and jump conditions. I also find when the waves are good size the valleys in between are like glass, those are my favorite conditions, best of both worlds.. :D :D :D :D

Re: Anton's tips on surviving a squall.

Good advice. Being overpowered can get scary, knowing what to do is critical. I find punching out in shallow water the safest remedy, but not always an option. Avoiding those conditions and coming in at the first signs of squalls is your best action IMO..Live to kite another day.

Re: Airush Lithium Progression 12m?

Hi. From what i can find Lithium Progression is almost a "cheap version of Lithium proper :D ". For example https://youtu.be/RwmrOA12OC0 . i.e.3 struts, the same shape,4 lines. In the review above they do say that Progression flies "slightly" differently of course. Anyway - 1)anyone can comment on ...

Re: Core kites and kiteboarding industry sales this year

One more time - those who unhappy about the difference between kite direct cost (materials and the work to put them together) and retail price, why don’t you design own gear, start production and sell everything with 10% markup just on materials/work ? Or learn at least something about what (costs ...

Re: 2010 Cabrinha Bar Centerline Sleeve Cracked/Broken

That's an old bar. I personally would replace it, not worth the shit storm a snapped center line can cause, especially if you're boosting. You should be able to find a Cab bar for around $300 US if you shop around.. It will be last years model at that price.

Re: Help to get to 20m in Big Airs!

Stop trying....15m is high enough, the view can't be that much better from a few more meters... A bad crash from that height could end your life, not worth it IMO.....

Re: Could someone please invent a better way to self land a kite in high wind.

thats releasing not landing :) Exactly. Using the Quick Release is the single best way to land your kite. It is safe, it is reliable, and best of all it helps train your quick release muscle memory. Even if you have other techniques like a tethered land or a front line technique, you should always ...

Re: 20 Years of Kiting!

I stayed with Windsurfer during those early years. No regrets I had a blast, and when I was assured by friends kiting had evolved and the gear was much safer I took the plunge. I haven't WS in 6 years and find kiting better in almost every way now......Only thing that comes close is fresh pow in Uta...
