Re: What are some of the best relaunching kites right now?

The Best Kahoona relaunches the easiest. I have tried many other kites, but the Kahoona is by far the easiest to relaunch. I even take it wave kiting on bigger days even though it is not a wave kite because it relaunches better and faster than any other kite out there.

Man This really makes you feel lucky to be in a place where you can kite relatively easily.
Great Story Though!! And props to you.

Dont Ever Kite alone. This is when all my bad accidents have happened. When you are launching off the beach, especially on windy days check your lines twice to make sure they are not snagged on anything otherwise you kite will loop and send you flying.

Re: What do you do with super old kites

Personally, I do alot of wavekiting so occasionally my kite will get destroyed by the waves. I keep all my old kites to use the old canvas as repair material. Its always a good idea to have spare parts lying around.

Re: Let's go Surfing without the kite & Paddling

Always kitesurfing when the wind is good, but this sounds like a stellar option for offshore or no wind situations when the swell is in.

Re: kite drift question

You might be whipping yourself downwind, try carving harder to keep your kite in the sky

Re: Holiday destination end of July/beginning of August

Try looking into St. Croix USVI, the wind is great in early August and the water is always flat in the lagoons.

Re: Big Vs small - fins... by Andy Yates (Xenon)

gotta love those small fins on twin tips for sliding, can even be fun when wave surfing.
