Re: Most sturdy top end hydrofoil

I went with Chubanga v3, very fast and easy to ride. I decided that less parts and adjustments will lead to longer life. The foil is solid with a lot of carbon but the wing tips are thin so you need to take care not to hit anything

Re: Fuselage corrosion

Often this white stuff is the excess grease oozing out of the bolt holes and sticking to the fuse. Soapy sponge is the fix

Re: Looks like Kite racing is back in play with IOC

Yes the numbers of medals and athletes allocated to sailing by the IOC is fixed in the short term, so getting rid of the offshore keelboat event frees up a medal and space which could get allocated to kiting - the view seems to be that it is kiting that will subsidizing the rest of sailing as it is ...

I think the theory is that 106 works fine so long as the board is quite narrow

Re: Moses 2019-2020

Hi Tom, I prefer 111 for all types of riding. everything is easier as the wing is rarely going to breach in tacks, gybes and riding thru waves. You would get used to the longer mast within 20 minutes of riding. if you look at the videos of the Slingshot team rider Fred Hope it seems he chooses the l...

Re: IKA SNAFU

I think it is a complex issue with alot of nuance. most Olympic sports are moving away from one design / single provider monopoly - as you get monopoly prices and still alot of variance in the product due to lax manufacturing. so team s with money buy lots of sets of the gear and then pick the best ...

Re: First impression of Gong M Pro

Hi Tom, it is 100% the trailing edges that need to be squared. Don’t bother to sand the top of the wings or the sides of the mast. It might take 3 or 4 attempts at sanding and riding before the ringing gets cured, just keep at it
