Mauritius soft racks available?

Can anyone in Mauritius tell me if the local surf/kitesurf shops sell softracks for putting a board on my hire car roof? And a general price? Otherwise i can buy in UK and bring it in the suitcase.

Al Merrick Proton (step up 6'2) surfboard

Anybody used this board for kitesurfing? I'm fairly novice for strapless surfing, but want to get out into some small to overhead waves on holiday. It apparently has lots of rocker. (I'm 6'1, 75kg). I currently have a Cabrinah Skillet 5'6, but dont want to fly with it.

Re: Which suncream/ screen

Boots standard factor 30 or 50 has regularly got me through a few hours of direct Mauritian sun with no burning - and im fair hair. Plus the anti-mozzy in it appears to work like magic.

Re: pay to kite a spot in uk

The water quality at most UK beaches is exceptional and highly regulated. Ronnie is completely wrong. Permits are increasingly prevalent and personally i find them annoying.

Re: Knowledge on Mauritus for non wave rider needed, please!

The lagoons are massive so dont worry about busy spots like le morne. There is loads of space, unless you want to hug the shoreline where the kite schools teach.
