Re: Tef gel, cooper slip, silicone for bolts

I used Tefgel and disassembled and washed each session. I guess I’m paranoid, and eventually sold my alloy foil. But although Tefgel is super sticky, I kept all the bolts in a small plastic bag, and never got Tefgel where it wasn’t supposed to be.

Re: Gong foils?

Hi I've had both Hellvator (older carbon) and Allvator (newer alloy) foils from Gong. The Allvator is good value - I've had zero problems with it over the last 6 months. Board quality is OK. With a medium Surf foil I can ride down to walking speed, so gybing, toe-side etc. is much easier. No issues ...

Re: Swap Gong Allvator & Moses Fluente

I'm using a 65cm mast, and the mast is in the maximum rear position. Footstraps are in the middle (third in 5 holes). I still felt that there was a touch too much front foot pressure, so I moved the mast back another 2.5 cm by using a plate with holes that are not at the absolute rear of the the pla...

Re: Swap Gong Allvator & Moses Fluente

The Gong SUP/surf wing is a revelation. So slow; toe-side and heel-side turns are trivially easy, especially with a fast inflatable kite. I feel like I've progressed more in 2 sessions than the previous 2 years: tacks, gybes seem within reach for the first time.

Re: Swap Gong Allvator & Moses Fluente

I have the Gong wing and a 65cm mast. The wing is huge, but will foil at very low speed. Top speed feels slow but “fast enough”. Foil breaches on the 65cm mast are mostly saveable - I’m not used to anything less than 90cm. The alloy fuselage and mast is heavy, certainly compared to my old Horue H13 ...

Beautiful location. Very glad that it remains unchanged over the years.

Re: Possible Hydrofoil sale scam

I was scammed on ikitesurf. Lost a lot of money for an imaginary board.

I’m afraid I’d avoid all sellers on that site, unless you can look them in the eye or confirm identity
