Re: Foilers vs Kiters proportion now

Toby has never foiled ever what!!!!!? Toby you are missing out big time if you haven’t....boosting on foil compared to twintip is like driving a 1995 Ford pickup vs driving a BMW F80 M3 :D 5 times the fun.. I hear a lot about boosting on a foil. How is the crashing on the same working for you? Any ...

Tell us than what is it all about?

What’s your style of kiting? We know Toby is in airstyle, you?

Will Dimitry start jumping over the houses now? Do you you jump over?

Tell us...

Re: Foilers vs Kiters proportion now

Sure, and they are all TT converts isn't it? Now, lets see: how many people say the HF looks hard to learn? And how many say TT looks easy? (we can say the same for the foil kites). Is it if something looks hard that the people refuse to learn initially? Do we learn to ride a mono bicycle first or a...

Re: Foilers vs Kiters proportion now

God, just have a look at the gear the Boston crew is using (now I see it): FOIL BRM Clouds, Ozone R1V2 Lift 110 130 150, Moses 633 637 548 550 + 91 101 111 Temavento Sync, Temavento custom LW, Moses T80 LTD, Ryan Schenk custom 36", LP Maverick XL 2 TT Carved Imperator, Rebels, Swtchblades, Epic Infi...

Re: Foilers vs Kiters proportion now

Yes, you have a problem with it? Let me know when you finish a HF in Carbon and document everything so other people can follow and replicate...Or ask Siri. The stoke can't be replicated, the procedure can. One can't replicate how to write a book, we do not read about the stoke of doing this, do we. ...

Re: Foilers vs Kiters proportion now

Right, so the argument is less gear. But more wings? Which cost, like, nothing. Let's look at the average age of HF kiters. Sure, one can argue they can do it all with a HF, sure they can, but are they Toby on a HF? ;) As said sooo many times, NONE of HF kiters were on tricks. Not unhooked, but hook...

Re: Foilers vs Kiters proportion now

Don't forget: - we live in shark infested waters, adding a HF "sword" in wave riding just adds up - we are spoiled of choice on this continent, we do NOT have to ride a HF and still be on water As I see it, the HF riders do not have a choice, you race, or freeride in low wind. Boston is an exception...

Re: Foilers vs Kiters proportion now

I think lwc is from Southern Hemisphere. Or not. You guys need to take this into account, we are different, we drive on the left hand side, our cyclones spin the opposite way and we are BIG in surfing. With a lot of top surfing spots. Go north and guess what? 12m tide... Plus, we have $500 000 or mo...

Re: Lightwind kiteboard build, planing ahead

I think we're overthinking this. Pretty much any nut with at least 1mm of flange woun't be pulled out from epoxy I sink it in, the only problem I see is bolt might get through the board, but it's easy to measure and safeguard against. Very far from true, but Im also biased since selling the industr...
