Re: strutless

I haved used my new strutless gong 12m couple of times. Great kite overall. Was quite cheap, but still isn't any worse than other (more expensive) kites. I use it only on foiling. I have 5 strut kites when it's more windy and I use a twintip board, so I don't care if the strutless kite can't handle ...

Re: LF MaxFlow Valve Leaks After Tomahawk

I had the same with 2012 NRG. It was less than a year old kite and I got new bladder from LF for free because the valve broke up after "tomahawking" and didn't keep the air any more. But I was too lazy to replace it and I glued maxlow and used the small valve to inflate and deflate. Yes.. it's slowe...

Re: Pranburi, Thailand

I was a month in Thailand (pramburi, hua hin and koh phangan) in March 2014. Quite light winds, 12m @ 85 kg was never overpowered, usually underpowered. But if you're not searching for strong winds, pranburi is a nice quiet place to visit. Koh phangan flat is one of the best kite spots where I have ...

Re: New foiler- straps setups

I started, and still using after 1.5 years one very loose front strap. Makes water starts so much easier compared to no straps at all. And if I fall, the strap is so loose, foot won't stay on it. But have to try front hook some day, I bet it's better when trying to change stance

Re: Game changer - Onewheel teaches how to turn on a foil

Onewheel needs some real competitors.. (I want to buy one), chinese products seems to be too low quality.
Onewheel is so simple thing, it can't be so expensive to manufacture. Compare it to e-bicycles

Maybe 100 meters rule is only on white beach? (opposite side of the island of bulabog beach)

Re: A case for full face?

^didn't find a good full face helmet (lightweight and cheap:), so I bought a cheap motorcycle helmet with visor. Like this one: https://static4.motonet.fi/img/3/382275/300/382275.jpg
But the visor gets fogged..

Re: Why is everyone hating on old kites ?

I love old kites ;) But how old is old. My oldest kite is now 2011 best hp nemesis v3 8m and IMO it flies just like the brand new kites. Had some 2009 and 2010 kites and they were good enough also. I would be worried more if the older gear is worn-out If you ask from kite resellers, you have to buy ...

Re: Thailand: Hua Hin vs Rawai (Phuket)

If you prefer more quiet place, I would go to pranburi close to hua hin. The same wind.
I have been to Phuket but I didn't go kiting. Won't go again there :) It's overcrowded
