If you check when you filming with the soloshot you will notice its not the tripod moving. Just be really careful when you fill the holes with epoxy, it is really easy to get it to hot and melt the EPS....... done that not fun at all!

I think you need to exercise more. In my opinion the speed of inflation of a kite is depended of the energy put in to the pumping..... small or big orifice might make a small different but frequency of strokes is more important.

I use one of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vacuum-ejector- ... 1427439751 and its gives you more than enough vacuum. I use a normal compressor or a dive tank (low preassure outlet on the first stage) to power it.Simple and cheap.

I would use heat shrink tubing for electric wires, simple to get a tight fit.
