Re: Firewire Vader

Thanks. I'm thinking what's the point of riding 5'1 Vader as it obviously will not have that light conditions performance. For nuking conditions nothing can beat great shortboard. I'm thinking that maybe EVO would be better fit for light conditions as I still keep traditional shortboard for great da...

Re: Firewire Vader

Did you guys try to ride traditional shape after riding those noseless shapes? For this season I got Vader 5'5 FST kite for lighter conditions for my 85kg. Somehow so far we got light conditions only so I was riding that Vader only until the last session when it was way too much for my 8m. I was sho...

Doesn't look more bulky than U.Go Linemount I think. Would be great to get both reviewed

Re: 13/17m VS 11/15/19m

Thanks everyone. Very interesting. Especially when some prefer 15m over 18m and some the opposite. Could you also tell are you conditions gusty or steady wind? Thing is that I'm ok with a larger kite, when a gust comes I simply edge like insane until the gust passes. Actually, gusts here are really ...

Re: 13/17m VS 11/15/19m

Well, it's not about 3m/s days. It's more about the days where wind drops to 3m/s pretty frequently. But the problem with 19m is that probably it will be way overpowered in 8m/s gusts.

Re: 13/17m VS 11/15/19m

Thanks Jake, I'm 85kg and our lake conditions are really random. If it's light day wind can be 3-6m/s with random gusts up to 8-10m/s. I have 11m race foil, but it's definitely too small for me for light days as I only started to learn tacks. So the question is really what largest kite can handle th...

13/17m VS 11/15/19m

Hey, could you post what quivers you prefer? Looks like 11/15/19m is very popular set, but I'm thinking maybe reduced quiver of only 13m and 17m would do the job for amateur race and freeride hydrofoil. I like smaller quiver as it's easier to decide which one to pull out. So when it's less wind it's...

Re: Moses HF 2017

Thanks, Frank. Well, I think it's right to say that there is no noticeable difference for weekend warriors :)

Re: Moses HF 2017

Is it easier to learn jibes, roll tacks etc. on 41cm mast comparing to regular ~95cm ? No!! It is really hard to ride maneuvers on the 41. This is not what it is designed for! Long before you start to work on those things you'll have changed to a long mast. Way later again it can be a fun challenge...
