Re: Acrylic spray paint question

Your grey paint is probably fine, especially if you did the abrasion with 300 grit and then cleaned it. Primers generally provide better adhesion to low energy surfaces, and they seal porous surfaces. If your grey paint looks smooth and you can't scratch it off with a fingernail then it's most likel...

Re: Tandem Split Board DIY

Looks good!
My split board uses the same principle of the strap on top. Easy to do and works great.

Re: Important Message: I almost died - Gunnar Biniasch

Very sobering message, Gunnar. One thing I can attest to, is that it is tremendously hard to spot a person in the water when there is any kind of swell or chop. 50m away is enough to render you invisible, even if you are waving. A few hundred metres away, my guess is nobody could see you. I've been ...

Re: Fiberglass with PVC foam board

I am in Milford Connecticut and looking to build a fiberglass twin tip kite board with a PVC foam core. I have a general idea of the process but would like to know if anybody is willing and able to help me build my own set of boards Building your own boards is a fun thing to do, if you like that so...

Re: F4 kiteboard build.

The old style rocker with lifted tips and flat centre is probably the most inefficient shape you can get. In wakeboard terms it's essentially a 3 stage rocker. And in terms of lifting the leading tip over chop, it's even worse. For the same angle, the earlier you can start the lift, the more height ...

Re: TT thin vs thick rails

Hi Guys there was a change from thin rails to thick rails for TTs sometime back - example Axis Vangourd 2016. What are the pros and cons of thick rails? On paper I'd assume thin rails on a twin tip would track upwind better since the rails will sink better? If you want a surfboard feel why not just...

Re: F4 kiteboard build.

Cool! The trick with flex is to achieve minimal rocker (but not negative rocker) under typical riding conditions. This means you would typically have a lot more static rocker than a stiff board. Also, the main bend should be between the footstraps and the tips straight, like the Nobile 666. Just som...

Brilliant , great system , you make it look easy..
Thanks! :thumb:
But most of the credit goes to Kerrybarra, it's his system (and his vacuum pump  )

And lots of trial and error along the way.
