Re: Trimming the BRM Cloud Kites and questions

Hi, I’m a long time user of the Clouds. I have a fresh batch of the white Clouds but haven’t messed around with the tuning yet due to a lack of wind. It sounds like you might want to try the D bridle setup on your kites. You should be able to get the D feeling on you E kites by adjusting the E bridl...

Re: Ultimate foil for surf skate like quick carves?

I would check out the Cloud 9 foils. My favorite wing for that type of riding is the X24 and their F series might be even better. Lots of good videos on their Instagram page. https://cloud9surffoils.com/collections/complete-foil-sets/Foil https://www.instagram.com/p/CNq9w3KgCci/?utm_medium=copy_link

Re: Comparison between drysuits with Neopren and Without.

I had the original OR Pyro Pro without breathable fabric and now have the OR Heat with breathable fabric. Night and day difference between the suits for me. Pryo Pro was clammy inside due to sweat and the Heat is nice and dry.

Re: Itching under the wetsuit & harness

Two things to try that worked for me:

1) A drysuit to eliminate the potential neoprene issue.

2) A Xcel brand wetsuit with limestone neoprene and water based adhesive.

Re: Does waist harness slide up on drysuit? Should I just use wetsuit?

I switched over to dry suits 10+ years ago and only use waist harnesses. No difference for me as far as the waist harness while in shorts, wetsuit, or dry suit.

Re: Lost at sea @Tenerife - expected at any Atlantic coast

I had a similar problem but not as bad since I didn’t lose my board. The harness stitching on the webbing that held my spreader bar broke allowing my harness to split in two. The bar got ripped out of my hands and I watch my kite fly away. It was a Peter Lynn Arc with auto zenith and the harness act...

Re: The fight against smelly gear

I dry my wetsuit inside out on a HangAir hanger and boots and gloves on a PEET dryer. Both work well for keeping the stink out. https://www.amazon.com/Underwater-Kinetics-HangAir-Hanger-Built/dp/B0011G1F8S https://www.amazon.com/PEET-Multi-Electric-Dryer-DryPorts/dp/B001M4ITVU/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?dchild=...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

The Peak 4 is also my first foil kite. For launching I’ve been hot launching them from straight downwind - backstalling on the way up. For landing my favorite method so far is to drop the kite on a wing tip at the edge of the window and pull in the bottom front line. [/quote] How much do you pull o...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Hello all, I searched the thread, but found only 8 occurrences of "fifth line", so took the courage to ask hoping it's not an old question... How many fly the Peak 4 without a fifth line, and how do you feel re: safety and landing? I like the Connect bar's simplicity and low weight, but for my larg...
