Re: Has anyone gone totally hydrofoil?

I'm pretty much 100% hydrofoil for the last year from 9 kn to 30 kn.

Only take out a wave board if waves are really good, too big, or if the water is too shallow.

Re: concave deck - how much is to much?

The deck on my Nobile Skim Foil is concave under the front foot (1/4" / 6mm) and flat under the rear foot. I really like the feel of this deck for foiling.

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

I'm 1 year into foiling and 3 sessions in on the Spitfire with XLW wings. I haven't ridden the Spitfire back to back with my Zeeko Carver but I would say they are very similar to each other regarding take off speed and speed while riding. I'd say the XLW wings are fast enough not to be boring and sl...

Re: Foot hooks question

I'm riding strapless now but learned to foil with a single front foot hook. To need for a rear foot hook unless you plan to jump.

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

I had my first ride on the Spitfire with XLW wings yesterday. I have been mainly using the Zeeko Black wing in flat water and the Carver wing for waves or underpowered days. Coming from a surf background I was very interested in the idea of having a foil that is driven off the back foot. I thought g...

Re: Freeride, strapless foil advice

I have been riding the Zeeko White and Black + Carver wing for the last year. I'm extremely happy with this foil. I'm 100% strapless and mainly just want to carve nice turns. I go back a forth between the Black and Carver wings but slowly settling on the Black wing for flat water days and the Carver...

Re: Airush Ultra: one strut kite that meets expectations of a foilkite fan

I have 3.7m to 10.4m D Clouds. They all tether launch and land very, very, well in all wind strengths. I have a ton of hours on the 4.8m tether launching and landing and a decent amount of hours on the 3.7. If the wind is light or if you have a wind shadow you can land them by pulling in a single fr...

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

Hi Kazi,

You can also order Zeeko gear in the US from Eugene at http://www.kitesurferstore.com. I have had good experiences buying Zeeko foils and boards from his store.

Re: one strut vs strutless

Would really love to know how the D compares to the C2 for low end on a surfboard, please. Any info much appreciated! [/quote] I've only ridden the D with the hydrofoil. On the hydrofoil I would say the pull is the same but there is more useable lowend. Basically the D's lowend is more optimized. Ge...
