schools of thought...

so everyone thinks they know something about what kite is the best for each school of riding (ie wave, wake, boost, grunt, freestyle, etc). if so, please enlighten me, what the hell is everyone talking about? After three years off, I rode my 2003 8.5M BT the other day and loved boost, unhooked, grun...

Re: Can't Jog/run the day after kiting

Kiting is an intense workout, because you are so focused on the process that you sometimes don't realize how tapped out you are getting. I get out there and I don't want to stop, it feels so good! Before kiting my record for continuous windsurfing was 8 hours...totally wiped after that. I've only b...

Re: Rear line attachment

Some kites have a single line attachment point on the rear attachment point for the steering, others have two attachment points with a pulley or ring on the line dividing the load , what are the benefit of the two attachment point design? Does the kite turn easier, faster, with less pressure with o...

Re: how many boards are you using ?

Three boards current:

2007 RRD Pro Model 130 x 40
2008 Caution Trespass 6.0
2008 Victoria Skim XL

Wouldn't change any of them. However would add a race if we could organize some good course racing around here...

Re: Royal Kites 09 manufacturing fault!!

Warbs, I could not disagree with you more. The thread has everything to do with kites and nothing to do with kitchen knives. To Doc and any followers, the federal bailout will not help you and kite companies are not obligated, nor incentivized, to put up with your petty complaints. However, it is ve...

Re: What will happen to the world tours now?

a one design class would be board, kites or board and kites? I could imagine, it would be same board for all, but each on a different guy. A top racer said this year, that he would prefer a one design board, because it still makes a difference. And one day we gonna have the same race boards anyway,...

Re: ROYAL

ERA is a fantastic kite (owned 14, 10, 8 Ms for over 1YR). The kite is way underrated in terms of power, speed, price, and stability. The range's performance attributes are very consistent throughout, brut-grunt yet can scream upwind when the correct pressure is applied. A friend has the 10M proto a...

Re: Triple-S Invitational Session Report : DAY 1

THis is what kiteboarding should look like. Powered, low kite, full bindings, and little room for error. Pushing the sport in the right direction. Wow... it is funny to see how two people's opinions could be so different. I have total respect for all the riders and the danger of the moves, however ...

SURFS - Trespass vs. Converse...

Any input on Caution Trespass or Airush Converse? Both companies are selling their 07 models at good discount < $500.

More interested in hearing about the Trespass as there is limited info already.
