Re: How to make a high Y bar ?

Splice a short length of line into your line to make a loop. Is that now how the manufacturers do it?

Re: Charleston Isle of Palms Questions?

You aren't supposed to ride north of 3rd block if I recall. People like to try and drown in the inlet, so be wary of the currents. There is a big bath area behind a sandbar just across the bridge on Sullivans but it can be a zoo. You may want to reach out to one of the local shops, like Force Wake a...

Re: Slingshot 2010 bar mod

Just get a clam cleat. I've done this many, many times. You basically want this: https://kiteboarding.com/proddetail.asp?prod=clamcleat You can find it for much cheaper. You should pay about 14$ usd for it (if you can't, PM me...I don't come here often but I have some spares, as an aside, I prefer t...

Re: Beginner - buy gear or more lessons?

"This means that your kite should not crash anymore. Even when you make a mistake in your waterstarts or riding. Your kite should stay dry." shit, I think I need some lessons after 7 years of kiting... I keep crashing the kite while riding..   +1 🙄 How do you crash your kite while r...

Or you could just get a Mystic Majestic X and not have to dick around with a cheesy strap system.
I'm likely going to jump ship to this next kite-oriented purchase. I've been on RE since my custom a few years ago, and it delamed on me. The strap system is shite for being mass produced.

Re: Ride Engine Safety Concern

How loose are you wearing your harness that it can come unhooked? :?: Tight enough that I have to suck my gut in to get it on, and it's hard to breathe. I can't get it tight with it on, so I just get it tight enough that it's very uncomfortable to put on first. If you didn't have a donkey dick, how...

Con for boots: If your foot does come out, and you had them adequately tight, it hurts like a mofo.

Re: Ride Engine Safety Concern

I had mine completely let go (came undone, not loosened up) when I turned and my kite, harness, and bar sailed across an oyster bed and I had to swim back to shore with my board. Anecdotal evidence from fellow kiters who used to ride/teach in OBX told me they've seen this happen to others... I now w...

Re: Switch QR failed me

I'm not going to edit that post but in retrospect it was kind of dick. But then again I didn't come here asking for opinions. My bar had 18" of depower. I wasn't using a switch bar. I'm annoyed that people come here to make assumptions but it is the internet. The bar worked in a death loop. It had n...
