Re: Another UK Fatality

I've seen waist belt PFDs used for SUP e.g https://www.escape-watersports.co.uk/equipment/buoyancy-aids/nrs-zephyr-detail?gclid=Cj0KCQiAkuP9BRCkARIsAKGLE8X6Wia9A1ng_cHXrV2v-j1mtqZzJENmm-crNDNxZRQ4bYu9W0YTOC4aAtbkEALw_wcB Has anyone tried one of these kiting? guess it would have to sit above the harn...

Re: Eco

For sure everyone is barking up the wrong tree with 'sustainable' kites, bags etc. These products have a lifespan of 5 or 10 years so the impact is minimal regardless of how they are made. The things we need to worry about are disposable products which we use on a daily basis - or perhaps all of the...

Re: Neo 2018 5m back stalling badly

Thanks for the replies, I'll have a look at the bridles and take them out for a bit more testing when we get some good wind again. Dan I'll get some photos and measurements for you. It does seem super unlikely that two kites would have a similar fault like this though they may well be from the same ...

Re: Neo 2018 5m back stalling badly

Yes, the other day I was flying it in about 25->30 knots. Amazingly, with about 30cm depower on the trim I still had to be careful not to stall it. Pulling the bar in beyond the final 1/3 of the throw would drop it back like a stone even if just cruising at normal power levels.. not hauling hard on ...

Re: Neo 2018 5m back stalling badly

Might sound stupid but did you connect it to the correct knot where it says 4 line or 5 line? I remember when I started kiting and connected to the 5 line knot with a 4 line bar the kite was dropping on me like crazy, was a 6m 2018 neo, the wind was relatively light tho. I've tried it on both, the ...

Re: Neo 2018 5m back stalling badly

I have Neo 5m 2018. It flies just fine. For sure you can’t fly it like a 10m... but i have used it In strong wind where it is pretty much plug and play... and on foil in « light wind » (~20knt) where you need to fly it more carefully not to backstall it. Check the bridles maybe... That's really int...

Re: Neo 2018 5m back stalling badly

Yeah I can't get my head around it - it is the same on two identical kites and on multiple bars

Re: Neo 2018 5m back stalling badly

We are experienced kiters and as noted the 4m Neo 2019 does not seem to exhibit this issue. Likewise various other small kites I have flown. I'd assume that the kite is designed not to oversheet - at least not too badly - on an out of the box North bar. We've tried in under and over powered conditio...

Neo 2018 5m back stalling badly

This is a strange one but wondering if anyone else had noticed a problem with this kite (or any older models), it may be limited to the smaller sizes. We have two of these kites and both exhibit the same problem. We have tried multiple bars and all of the various front and back line settings with no...

Re: Duotone 2021

Can anyone confirm if the new trust bar has detachable pigtails like the clickbar now? Do you need them? The Click bar has them because there aren't the rear line trim length options on the bar like you have in the Trust bar so your only way of adjusting for line stretch/shrinkage is to alter the p...
