Re: Non kiting stoke!

Before kiting I was skydiving for about 15 years. I was an instructor and Tandem Master. The last few years it seemed I was always working when I was at the dropzone and the stoke was almost gone. I watched several friends die in the sport over the years. When I took full custody of my kids a few ye...

Do-it. I have to assume you think Greenmachine is Tom L. with the "wanda" refrence you made. Am I right? I have known Tom for probably 15 years and never known him to be a kiter. I would be very surprised if it is him, but I was wrong once so I guess it could happen again.

Re: We just lost over. Half of our kite boarding area thanks

The pond area was used for kiting. It is one of the only places I know of in the area for a West wind. That is only part of the park though. It goes out to the Atlantic. Most of the beach area in the park is now off limits as well as the "pond".

Re: We just lost over. Half of our kite boarding area thanks

Legally it may be Oct 1 but they are watching us now. I had not heard about this yet and yesterday I was South of Zone 9. When I came out of the water there was a cop waiting for me. He told me they were not going to enforce it but they will shut the park down to kiters if they see people in the res...

Re: New in Crescent Beach/Jacksonville!

I am new to the sport as well. The big spot around Jax is Huguenot Park. If there is wind you will probably find someone there. On low tide usually on the ocean at the point. On high or on a west wind probably in the lagoon area. Take some lessons or at least get someone with local knowledge to help...

Bar size

I am brand new to the sport still in my lessons. I am looking to buy some gear very soon as I hope to be done with lessons after a couple more sessions. I am looking at getting the liquid force envy either 15/12m or 15/10.5m. There are three different bar sizes and I hope to buy just one bar to cut ...

Good instructor in Jacksonville/St Augustine FL

I am getting ready to take some lessons. I am looking for recommendations for a GOOD instructor/school. I know the schools around here but am looking for quality. I was a skydiving instructor for 15 years and I know several instructors who have no business teaching. Let me know if you have a quality...
