Re: Flite 14.5 or 17?

Depends on the individual too - I have lots of people onto the Flites here in my area. Example of 2 experienced and highly skilled guys....both smaller guys in the 150lb-160lb category, 1 guy loves his 17m, the other guy is intimidiated by the 17 and finds his 14.5 big enough. We are exchanging all ...

Re: WOO gen1 vs gen2 accuracy

so if there are 5 woo buddies at the same beach - then makes sense to test and verify somehow each Woo for accuracy, like attach each woo one by one to some kind of flagpole -tree branch rope pulley and then check results. If each woo plus/minus say 1ft ? then let the games begin .... if one woo is ...

Re: Issue with Naish Kite leading edge, manufacturing defect ?

Agreed - looks like a cut. Possibly something sharp on the launch landing zone. In our area small zebra mussel shells are like mini razor blades. Always best to launch and land your kite in the water. As well I don't like letting anyone land my kite. Some people don't know how to handle a kite with ...

Re: Most Comfy Kite Pads

Ocean Rodeo has new pads - Air Bliss, like stepping onto foamy marshmallows. Good for some of us older guys with sore feet.

Re: light wind surfboard VS foil board

The thing about doors is that despite being able to go incredibly early, It's always a door! Glassing along.... on a door. They carve.... like a door. The take off and land.... like a door. They surf like a door. A door is just never great. Surfboards are a pretty broad category.... some start earl...

Re: light wind surfboard VS foil board

I agree with Starsky. 8-12 knots is Hydrofoil. Having loads of fun and re-challenging myself after discovering the Foil. I am done with big kites and big boards and schlogging around. Still like to fly the big 14.5m and 17m in +13knots and enjoy getting ripped off the water. But if there is no boost...

Re: Ocean Roadeo Flight 10m good kite?

8-10 knots is 10m Flite and Hydrofoil for me. So yes it is a lightwind kite, but performs great in high winds too.
