You think it's injection molded? or compression molded?
Some sort of molding if Nylon is in the mix. Doesn't surprise me since tons of biking shanks and cleat plates are made with nylon and glass or carbon fiber in there as well.

Re: New North Foil's 'PA Carbon Mix 50'

PA = Nylon Carbon Mix 50 = (probably) 50 percent chopped long strand carbon fibers. That's actually a super sturdy way to make parts as most professional grade power tools are some sort of PA GF 20-60 (Nylon with glass fiber 20-60 percent) Is it carbon fiber reinforced polymer, carbon fiber reinforc...

Does North release the EVO later in the year ? I don't see the 2018 model on their website.
Yeah the evo always comes out later. Although now that the rebel is 4 lines the speculation is that the evo is shifting it's purpose a bit in the lineup.

Re: North: Dice, Evo or Neo

Yeah sounds like the Dice or Evo would be good for you (except they don't have any amazing low end). If you really aren't riding down the line on a wave the Evo might be a better option if you're valuing hang time performance and low end over directional/surf abilities. Not sure how the Evo stacks u...

Re: Who was this crazy guy who kited hurricane Irma in Miami Beach?

Was super bummed to see this... Because that was a shit transition and he should have megalooped transitioned in front of that camera. It truly was a disgrace to kiteboarding. No one wants to join our sport after seeing the worst transition in the world. So really it was a public service

Re: AIRton Clinches The Championship While Keahi is King at One Eye

Awesome, both kahi and airton are real sick riders. Did u see this keahi wave from backdoor last year? so sick - it would be a 10 pointer on the WSL world tour! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPv8Wc1FKSI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPv8Wc1FKSI Sick wave for sure but would have scored high 7 to...

Re: Revl Arc cam: Anybody preorder one?

I didn't preorder one. I preordered two. And I'm afraid I might end up with none. :jump: I have friends who are part of the Revl team and they are super bummed that this has taken so long, but you will get cameras. There was some super heavy lifting engineering wise to be able to mass produce the s...

Re: Epoxy Gloss Coats How To

It's not hard to get gloss with epoxy + additive H, just lots of people are still stuck in their ways with poly.

Also gloss is slower than fine sanded...
