Re: Tried a backroll, broke some ribs!

Your story sounds like the Kiteboarding version of Caddy Shake when the Bishop is playing the best round of golf in his life then misses the birdie putt and is struck by lightening.

Re: Kurtis Goggles

Has anyone tried a pair of spoggles? They are primarily used within chemical manufacturing plants to help prevent splatter in the eyes. So they would provide the same type of splash protection at a fraction of the cost and some brands look better than the Kurtis glasses.

Re: Best USCG buoyancy and impact vest for kitesurfing and windsurfing?

Pretty sure you won’t find a kite specific uscg approved vest because of requirements they have for buckels... I just bought the ride engine vest and it fits great and doesn’t impact my motion.

Re: Flying an IDS kite (two line safety) using one line safety bar

I posted a similar question and I did test it before going out and it worked fine with no issues. I tested it in moderate winds for the kite. Either way it reacted the same way my single line kites do when I flagged out.

Re: 12m or 14m Slingshot Rally for 200 lbs riders ??

I would go off of what you learned on. If you enjoyed the size of the board you were taught in go with that. If not I would try a light wind board out before purchasing. I tried one and didn’t care for it because there was to much performance sacrifice because of the size. I’m also 40lbs lighter tha...

Re: New Tona gear

I’ve watched most of his vlog’s since they started showing the kite and in one video he addressed the elephant in the room and just said that the kite was still under development. The foil board looks intriguing as well and has shown up on some thier Facebook posts but I haven’t seen anything relate...
