Re: Ready to start again but first I need to buy my gear

F-one bandit is good for gusty winds. It has very good depower and big wind range. I would say its good choice for beginner.

Re: Impact vest for the family jewels

I've been using swim pants under wetsuit. They help to some extent with the problem that someone here stated "balls working as the leading edge of your ass when landing without board".

If you dont have tightish swim shorts, use boxers. Just anything to keep the package not hanging loose.

Re: Best kite specific 3/2 wetsuit

+1 for flashbomb. Flashbomb is for skinny profile. My friend who is maybe L size is using XL or XXL flashbomb and is happy with it. Im a bit skinnier type and using M(MT?), according to flashbomb charts and its snug fit, good and warm. Mine is 6-5-4mm wintersuit and it is still quite flexible. Cant ...

Re: Help me complete my quiver: 80 kg rider

It all depends on your local conditions. When I was riding TT only, 70kg, 15m biggest kite. I wish I had bigger kite so I upgraded to 17m and was happy about it. Our conditions are light wind most of summer, so light that 17m -- 15m made difference for light rider. Yeah I got super overpowered if wi...

Re: Help me complete my quiver: 80 kg rider

12-17 is good. Don't look at C-kites. They dont have so good depower, you wouldn't like them. I have been riding for many years already but Im still on my fone bandits. Great all around kite. Get a kite with very good depower like bandit has. Depower will be your best friend a long way when a bit sc...

Re: Help me complete my quiver: 80 kg rider

3m step is normal from 12m kite. 12 + 9 is the classic combo. Don't say that you dont want to kite in more than 25kts. When you get better you will most likely love 25kts+ wind. And if you think you would enjoy waves. Well atleast here waves start really kicking in when 30kts+. When you feel the nee...
