Re: I suck at jybes

Plummet -apart from the footswitch, can you do the carve 180 part up on the foil ? If not, learning the foiling carve (to and from toeside) that would the next step. Once you have that part nailed then it's just a matter of bringing in the "flying foot switch" to complete the whole manouvre "flying"...

Re: Canard Foil

I don't really agree with some of the comments above. Ive been foiling just over 2 years and have moved away from carbon foils back to Aluminimum as they offer me sufficient performance for my skill level and are significantly cheaper to buy and repair. I am mostly into free riding altqhough I did r...

Re: New mobile game 'Kiteboard Hero' offers realistic kite action

Enjoying it so far but I WISH I could swap the kite control to the right side (thumb). That's my only complaint as a right hander

Re: Sliding spreader bar , what do you think ?

Love love love it ! I rIde a 3 season old Dynabar setup with a stainless steel slider bar (not rope) and custom brass roller on the hook - it will never wear out ! I find this essential for freeride and toeside foiling. I only use a seat harness and it's the only way I get enough freedom and movemen...

Re: Mike's labs foil

And China proved ML is not invincible - Banga was faster in light winds. So you would have to concede there is not just 1 dominant brand for all riders in all conditions.
.. even at this time. Can't wait for Mexico !

Re: Mike's labs foil

I saw a couple of Mikes Lab foils in perth when the HPT was in town and they were pretty amazing - Nico and Rikki's. Quite a thing of beauty and very intricate looking, like the pics above. Rikki told me they never touch the mast to avoid the oil on their fingerprints affecting the performance, and ...

Re: Mike's labs foil

Hi queneseb, like the guys said... if you have to ask..... Have you done your homework ? He clearly says on his website that "Mike builds foils and boards for past and present world champions." Being able to choose your clients is a wonderful privilege in life and not something you can criticise or...

Re: Flysurfer sonic2 vs ozone Chrono v2 ultralight

I am also 86kg and enjoy foiling in <10 knots. For me I love the 15m Sonic 2 - big enough to not require that much work but nimble enough to easily kiteloop and gybe etc. plus in 12-14 knots it's fun also on the TT. Line length isa big factor - I've begun riding a 5m Boost 2 on 35m lines and that al...

Re: What is the smallest foil kite you can hydrofoil reliably in 9 knots

I've been riding an Ikon 5m 3 strut proto this summer is all wind coneditions and it's been amazing to realise how small I kite I can get away with. In light winds I use 35m lines - I'm not saying 9knots - but light enough for no TT riders to bother pumping up. Just saying. I love the tiny kiteloops...
