Re: Sitting on the board or Rodeo, the best way to start/pratice ?

I've discovered it's possible to sit on the board from standstill and then start. Same as how you'd sit on a surfboard to rest. Still a WIP for me.

Re: The secret to easier air gibes and tacks?

I'm lazy and don't foot switch.... ever. My toeside is as strong as my heel side so I've neglected to practice my switch stance all last season. This summer the goal is to learn the upwind tack to toeside and back again so I can ride upwind without having to throw a tight (gybe) to change direction....

Re: go-joe

Sounds like a few guys need to practise bodydragging a bit more ! With the right technique it's a pretty relaxing thing to do. Leading hand outstretched, straight long legs and torso plus face in the water as if you were swimming freestyle, fly the kite with the other hand and away you go. Pop up to...

Re: Drone for filming Kiting?

I had an AirDog and it worked fine for filming yourself - that is its key difference as it's designed to follow the rider only. They have just released the AD2 with some additional features incl a better gimbal and software improvements. If you already had a GoPro this might be worth considering dep...

Re: I like riding hydrofoil for 15 minutes then got bored anyone else admit that?

I get a bit bored in flatwater to be honest. But since focusing on waves ( and I live in Australia by the ocean) , foiling is much more fun. That is kept it interesting, especially as I am not into freestyle moves

Re: rescuing a foil board

Yeah this is a problem. I have carried a spare leash on occasion to secure the board if I need to.

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

I'm using my green and white for the second style of wave riding. Sounds like I'll have to get the XLW wingset for my spitfire

Re: Surfboard - cheap battered one or spend a bit more?

How tall are you and do you have any plans to paddle surf it ? I'm 6" / 182cm & 85kg nd have a 5"10 Mitu Monteiro pro and it's honestly too big for me. I reckon at your weight it will feel like a SUP. If it's your first surfboard I would go secondhand and don't worry about any repairs. Usually the f...
