Re: Core kites and kiteboarding industry sales this year

Waaaaaayyyyyyy too clean for there to have not been "a talking to" by higher ups. Maybe my efforts have been successful! If this is the best you get, it is still a huge improvement. I'll take personal attacks over drunken blatant bigotry any day. Thanks Core! Umm, maybe I missed it - but why all th...

Re: SmartWatch research questions

If you are a sony engineer. Just remake the SW3 for wearOS and stick a normal strap on it. Best watch ever! I didn't mind the rubber flap - it worked well and being a standard micro usb was easy to find a charger in a bind - unlike the proprietary chargers most watches need. Give me decent waterproo...

Re: Groove Skate issue

My only issue has been (still) waiting for my board to show up, but that was expected from the get go. Figure about 2 months from order to delivery. According to my tracking # mine has been (and is still) sitting at a Poste Italiane shipping depot in Milan for over a week awaiting its delivery to t...

Re: Blade Kites

I had a 2017 Trigger for while. Wasn't quite what I was thought I was looking for so I moved on to something else. Bits I remember (and in fairness most of these are the critical bits that made me want to change so take with a pinch of salt) - Surf mode makes it easier to edge the kite to reduce pow...

Re: Core kites and kiteboarding industry sales this year

For the sake of balance: Core kites are actually one of the cheaper full RRP brands in the UK at the moment (comparison of similar style kites Cab FX, Airush Union, Naish Dash, North Dice against the Core Nexus). With the weak currency at the moment why not head over to the UK and take a quiver home...

Re: PSA: Check your harness - Friend of mine got luck, really lucky

If you watch Antons videos - 'learning to Fly', he goes into all the wear areas he has identified on harnesses over the years. Its not just the wear at the clip. He mentions wear and failure at the point the straps are stitched into the harness. Possibly worth buying Episode 2 of the series just for...

Re: 5th line on the click bar question

Click bar is compatible with loaded 5th line and in fact solves the untidy looking 5th line droop that you get with the older bar style. I seem to remember DanAtB&M saying the only point of difference was that it released to a front line rather than the 5th line so in high wind conditions you might...

Re: New Quick Release System?

Didn't Gaastra (Now GA?) have a magnetic quick release system a few years back? I guess they either took out a patent on it or it had issues as nobody else copied that idea

Re: Guide to the Airush Union 4 - real world what's new, where it's gone, what it's like..

I don't suppose the bridles are MUCH shorter this year? Whilst I like the steering feel in the older unions, the length of the bridle makes setting up and packing up in strong winds a little more time consuming.
