What is actually impressive is - you have used metal center piece and cork grip and ended with bar lighter than full carbon some want to promote as "extremely light" at 210g for €325.00 just for the bar. - vmgproducts.com

But I like to build and learn stuff and I learned much about different materials, techniques, and how a bar system works.
Awesome, not bashing at all. I love doing things myself as well.

I've just sort of finished this bar: P70824-120557.jpg It is a switch V1 center piece with carbon tubes and cork grip. Can't wait to try it out. Here is an album with more pictures: https://goo.gl/photos/QHZa6dwHazoBEzxC6 Nice looking bar. But all this efforts to build one out of carbon, yet at the...

Re: Dropping the hook & slider, BRM bar and Ride Engine mod.

Question, if you already have dynabar, why not to attach directly to it? In my v7 there are 2 holes in the middle for the fixed hook attachment, they would be ideal to mount brm loop I think.

Re: Boardriding Maui CS Bar Review (no chicken loop or leash

Xor- How tall is your wife ? Long arms ? Waist or seat harness ? Does she get enough depower with full arm extension alone ?? Thanks, Ron She is about 5'5'', My LF 2009 boardshort harness (so low bar position) with sliding dyneema bar, I would say average arm length, she got full depower reach, but...

Re: Boardriding Maui CS Bar Review (no chicken loop or leash

My observations using bar more (with 7m and 9m clouds): 1. Not a single time did found a need for depower strap, even being way overpowered on 9m when wind suddenly started to nuke, I had kite high, but with sweet spot easily within reach. 2. I adjusted to Greg's wrapping method without any problems...

Re: Boardriding Maui CS Bar Review (no chicken loop or leash

I worry about a riders ability to identify and pull the correct release when being dragged underwater in a big wave situation. I also wonder how hard it is to release under load? Is the release ball too small? Flag out is push away, disconnect is pull in. So no way to misidentify the correct one, a...

Re: Chicken Loop Bye Bye?

So ditch the donkey dick and learn to ride properly. You don't need it. It serves no other function than to compensate for your lack of technique. Omfg, learn not to tell people what to do, especially when you have no idea of preferred riding styles. Go get your 2 line kite and "ride properly" outs...

Re: Chicken Loop Bye Bye?

Talking of chicken loops, my vision is: Originally there were 2 line kites with the windsurf type loop attached to the bar, kiter would only hook in while riding far from obstacles. Once depower 4 line system was introduced to the market it was modified with the loop at the end to be able to hook in...
