Re: 9m Hyperlink UL loses pressure too soon

Well relaunch suffers a bit of course. While flying it's all fine. However the contrast to the Flysurfer is just really stark and this not something I expected from a premium kite at this pricepoint. It makes me wonder why it's called a closed cell kite.. I'll drop by my local shop this weekend and ...

Re: 9m Hyperlink UL loses pressure too soon

If it would be the cloth after 4 sessions in less than a month that would be insane. The thing is brand new! The ultralights are build to order so it probably was made less than 2 weeks before I got it.

9m Hyperlink UL loses pressure too soon

First of all: the kite is setup in closed cell mode. I checked the zippers behind every intake and closed them. They came 90% closed from the factory but they’re all tightly sealed now! Same goes for the deflate valve. What happens is that after landing the kite loses internal pressure really quickl...

Re: Switch Kite Serious safety issue with the Bar Controller 2/3

In retrospect I have to admit that is even better. ^^ In the end swivels only work sometimes at best. At least the steel ones just lock up instead of breaking in halve.

Re: Switch Kite Serious safety issue with the Bar Controller 2/3

I'm using a switch swivel on a converted Naish bar (I don't trust their swivel anymore after is broke apart in less than a year of use). I also have custom lines which move just barely when they where new. Last month I discovered the safety line did not slide anymore and my safety was botched. I goo...

Re: LWR Light Wind Relaunch DIY all Brands / Naish from 25 E

First setback, got the lines and they are of even better quality then expected ( link ). The polyester cover/ braiding is super tightly woven. This makes splicing next to impossible. Anyone got a secret trick or is splicing this kind of line not doable? @JAW It's not that bad given the shape of the ...

Re: LWR Light Wind Relaunch DIY all Brands / Naish from 25 E

Thank you very much for posting this! I've opted to go the same route but I've ordered dyneema instead of dacron. I'll also try to splice all loops. An alpine butterfly loop would be a quick alternative but I think splicing should be doable. I'll shoot some pics of the process. I'll make the LWR lin...
