Re: The Pansh A15, an A18 review

Great worked really. I am impressed. Cheers to foilholio as well.
this mod seem to be really great. Wana ask you again the question but : have you noticed a slight decrease in wind range, like a bit more power and/or instability in the high end ?

Re: Ozone Chrono: Standard or Ultralight?? (13m)

The light cloth has another positive impact on top of staying in the air (and avoid swimming back to shore) : it is easier and more efficient to work the kite in the lulls and to foil up : indeed you need to sheet-out the bar less with a light kite when the kite is in its upward travel, so this lead...

Re: Ozone Chrono: Standard or Ultralight?? (13m)

below 6 knots, it is a must. At 7-8 it is much appreciated. Relaunch should also be better if the light cloth does not wait too long in the water.

Leader Cruize : new race kite from Concept'air

So its name is Leader Cruize , available in 7m and 10m . A friend tested the 7m under 10 knots,
he is a beginner on a hydrofoil (7x2 hours in totality) :

strange to see a 7m under this light wind.

Re: Airush Ultra: one strut kite that meets expectations of a foilkite fan

yes heavier indeed so zenith ability will be a bit better on strutless. But strutless kites are often a bit limited when more charged , so higher winds or jumps are in favour of at least one strut for someone who also want to use it the"standard way" with TT riding which is my case. So one strut see...

Re: Advice for buying 1st Foil Kite

I static flew 9m Peak in 2 knots of wind. Probably in less wind that I would take my Revolution kite out. I wouldn't have been able to ride it on water though in that wind. Looping a Peak is total waste of time and effort though - too much flutter killing all the energy. Superlight kite, flies in v...

Re: Advice for buying 1st Foil Kite

you should forget single skin kite for jumps : they have very poor hangtime (like strutless LEI). The briddle system is almost the same on every recent foil kite with 4 rows of briddles as Flysurfer most often does for years. Do not worry, this "complication" is the same for 3 or 4 rows. Race kites ...

Re: The Pansh A15, an A18 review

Nice work and very interesting feedback, incluing the re-inflation need after large and rapid bar movement. I would just add that your mod of the mixer test leads to having more cambre when bar sheet out for depower and less cambre when you pull the bar to power up , right ? My first guess would be ...

Re: Kite Force / Kite Power

Interesting topic :D Which one matters most to a kitesurfer, power or force? I would say both ... in fact it depend of what you "need" . 1- first case , mainly for TT or surf boards: if you are focussing on keeping upwind or go as fast as possible : power is the most important ; but be careful , eff...

Re: Airush Ultra: one strut kite that meets expectations of a foilkite fan

The current best alternative to foil kite IMO. I have not tested, but I am convinced it will be a wonderful light wind kite : more agile than a foil, more prone to jumps than a strutless but still with very limited weight ( so certainly not the same extreme low end on a HF, bot fot TT above 8-9 knot...
