Re: Training Airstyle tricks on an old bar

If i was living in Brasil with perfect conditions I wouldn't bother about this method either ;) But if you are living in a place where you mght have a month without wind I feel it's really important to do at least something. Of course you can't never simulate it 100% but it's definitely better than ...

Re: Training Airstyle tricks on an old bar

Yes I will post a video if it works. It will take at least 3 weeks though since I'm still on (kite) vacation. With all the swinging around you will at least get used to stopping techniques for the rotation tricks. Board offs are definitely the moves you can mimic best but I guess all kinds of rotati...

Training Airstyle tricks on an old bar

Wakestyler train their handlepasses on old bars. Has anyone ever tried something similar fo airstyle tricks? I was thinking about hanging an old bar with chicken loop on the branch of a tree. Than I will climb on a stool, put an old board on, hook in and kick ithe stool away. After that I can train ...

Adjustable stopper ball for F One bar

I fly a bandit with the monolith bar 2015. Now I want to make Airstyle moves like the dead man, which are hard to do without stopper ball. Unfortunately mine is fixed and I can't find any adjustable stopper balls for this bar on their homepage. Maybe there is some third party product that will fit o...

Re: Bar movement in jumping big

Thanks for all the feedback, it really helped to get a deeper understanding for what is actually happening when jumping. And yes I will have to watch instructive videos over and over again and than obviously getting expirience on the water is the most important part.

Re: Bar movement in jumping big

I have the vimeo version and it was actually there when I noticed that you don't pull the bar to the max. Only than I watched the other riders like Dimitri on the video posted below and Tom Hebert. They all do it the same way. Maybe it's because the kite won't move faster after a certain way of pull...

Re: Bar movement in jumping big

As far as I know you should send the kite first, edge/pop second and sheet the bar in a third step. If you begin edging like crazy before sending the kite you won't have the speed you need to boost high, or am I wrong? Toby you say it's an aggressive sending but when I watch you jumping you are far ...

Bar movement in jumping big

You often read that jumping big is a function of board speed and kite sped. So for me the most natural thing to do is to send the kite the fast as possible to the zenith by pulling the bar almost to a 90 degree angle. I always did it that way and was happy with it. But people watch who know how to j...

Re: Difference between Wakestyle and Airstyleboards

There was a pretty informative thread entiteld "North Jaime 2014 or 2015 ?" in which Dan and you contributed quite a lot. Dan said: "From what I hear, our PKRA riders are just as likely to reach for the Jaime as for the Team when conditions are choppy..." And than obviously Jaime Herraiz is riding i...

Re: Difference between Wakestyle and Airstyleboards

Thanks for all the feedback. I feel I learnt already a lot but some questions remain like: In which way does it deoend from water condition? What charakteristics do you need for chop/ wave/ almost flat water? Also why do you think that wakestyle boards are bad jumping boards but the Jaime is good fo...
