Re: Duotone Click vs Trust bar...

I run both bars with my girls. They far prefer the click compared to the cleat adjustment which they struggle with in stronger conditions and they think about trimming more with the easy click set up. I am happier with the lighter trust bar in lighter conditions or when travelling but I do find the ...

Re: You love it - SUP and kite shop in Dusseldorf - Do not buy!

Have bought plenty from this place when its prices for what I wanted were way below other stores, without any problems - not the fastest but I didnt expect or pay for rapid delivery and not noticably slower than other long distance orders. Even got an upgrade at no extra cost when the ordered item (...

Re: Help: North Neo 9m 2015-16 - will it work with non-North bar?

I can confirm that the bar set up makes a difference. I flew 2015 Neos with a BWS bar (low Y) and the kite was not the same as with the North bar. A pro who was used to North Neos agreed when I asked him to try to check it was not just me. I cant explain why. I think the leading edge curve looked sl...

Re: The Nature Topic

By the BBC today : "The real reason Japan hunts whales" ... seems it has very little to do with local demand for whale meat, but apparently it sadly boils down to bureaucratic face saving and civil servant pay which if so supporting awareness is needed.

Re: pay to kite a spot in uk

Poole Harbour now charges 16 pounds for a year pass. After windsurfing and kiting there for nearly 40 yrs, was indeed saddened by this. However, when I see what is happening in some places in France, its not so bad. There are no " beach taxes", just increasing restrictions or bans on where you can k...

Re: Wave Kiting – doubt about specific quiver vs. technique

My local conditions are similar. I have had 11m Neo, 10 m Noise Pro and 12 m BRM Cloud. The Neo did everything quite well, the Noise Pro was smooth and drifted well. But when the wind is light the Cloud is a joy. Not the best upwind, but it turns faster, drifts great and packs down smaller than my 8...

Re: I wish I spoke french...

As an English guy living in France, I suggest you keep the notes short and sweet and give both English and French versions on the same post so that there is a chance of understanding any technical vocab that Bing translation cannot compute. You are right, the local foil scene here is very experience...

Re: Hydroflex - construction recommendation

I have the Ill xxx supercharger. Bought it second hand off somebody who used it intensely in heavy conditions for 18 months on a stone beach. He usually gets through big brand kiteboards in 6 months. . It still looks like its only 6 months old. Its light and strong. I dont use the pump so would skip...
