Re: Beginner - buy gear or more lessons?

I would say it's spot and conditions dependent. If you have a safe spot with no obstacle, not too crowded and friends to babysit you, then you can buy gear and practice. Make sure to talk to your buddies and ask where to kite safely and stay out of the way of others. Also don't go out in crazy condi...

Re: Unhooked - Bar Pressure

or can't edge and pop after unhooking because of pressure? Basically this. But all your answers helped. I wait for wind and keep on trying! Thanks again :) try to keep elbow in, and at first less power... If you keep elbow in, it won't screw up your stance too much and should be able to hold the po...

12m2 is already in production.
The 12 production version is the one after the FLY!4 ? (The Free RS?/FLY!5 ? -It doesn't show on Kitech's website)
I would like to know too. Is Free RS higher aspect or just new iteration of FLY 4?

Re: Unhooked - Bar Pressure

Hey guys, I try learning unhooked, starting with Raleys and Sbend. I ride Cab Switchblades and feel like the bar pressure is quite strong. I am not buff, but not weak either. Still, I feel its quite difficult for me to hold on to the bar and edge as well. Is a different kite like the FX better suit...

Re: Drinking is important!

You loose electrolyte when you sweat, if you replace it with only water it screws up the balance and body cells and nerve can't work anymore... A lot more dangerous than just being dehydrated. Main cause of death for marathon. Hmmm, this probably explains why when riding down South - drinking beer ...

Re: North Rebel 2018

i've been on Rebels for 8 years....this new kite is not a Rebel Thats what Im talking about. This new kite will not ever be a Rebel. Its like when Best change the Waroo in 2010. That thing was not a Waroo. Do not understand why North discontinues a kite like this. They could have done an alternativ...

Re: Eleveight kites

F-One is doing pretty well too. The Bandit is (was?) the most sold kite model in the world and their Mitu surfboard is doing pretty well too. This has lead them to lately release new kites (Furtive, WTF, Breeze) Also they have been hiring new staff over the last 3 years. I am surprised they are doi...

Re: Drinking is important!

Some people (including me) can lose about 2.5 l in 2.5 hours. I know because I always have a 2l bottle of water with me - and drink it all and still thirsty like hell...Still thirsty even after another hour when presumably all of the 2 l would have made it into my blood...Now considering a person h...

Re: 2018 - Cabrinha Kitesurfing

I have been riding Cabrinha kites since 2005, and I hate to say anything negative about the brand since overall I feel that they make quality gear, but I do not like the 2018 bar, particularly the "New center fitting with larger opening". The larger opening changes the flacrum point, adding too muc...
