Re: Cabrinha fx 2018 - trimming setting on wingtip

bizarre I would have tought the more closer to the wing tip you attach the kite the faster and easier you can make it turn 'cause you have better leverage hence the "lighter steering impulse" needed as mentionned on the kite A setting... I might have confused your comments. Just to be clear: Closer...

Re: Ozone Hyperlink / Kitech Free RS

I like the direction these free ride foil kites are headed. I tried the HL and Free RS in 12M size back to back it was just one day around 15 MPH so take it for what it is. I ended buying the Free RS and like it a lot. The RS is lighter faster turning more responsive jumps better and loops more lik...

Re: Did I just invent a new trick ? (Probably not)

nice one, I don't think I have seen anyone else swith their feet the other way around like that. I think when tacking upwind people change feet turning down or upwind either but for gybe i don't remember seeing it like you did. Usually people step up but you did some nice shuffle ;)

I'm currently looking for a 9 meters , anyone demoed both ? Thanks. +1 Wondering why the Free RS is...

I want to know too! I think people in facebook group "kite-hydrofoil miami" have both, I am stalking them to get some info. hopefully I can demo those.

I am really eyeing Hyperlink and Kitech Fly 4 / free RS
I will probably pull the trigger on one next spring.

Re: Opinion on lessons

It's normal to struggle first half hour ;) Give it another try, within another hour or so you should be able to ride the board by keeping it on water surface everything else gets easier. At this stage the things that helped me were put mast all the way back (though on my setup shinn el stubbo + zeek...

Re: self launch - minimize kite damage

Its the walking up and then downwind that's the key. Keep tension on the front lines as you walk upwind to get it to sit up (kind of rolls over past the neutral point but sits on the front line tension safely) and then walk back downwind again to stop it surging forwards as it lifts off the ground ...
