Re: Which set do you recommend?

I talked to dealers for LF about boards, wings and my riding style. He said that the board's size is important in the contact and experience of the foil. I'm actually quite satisfied with my Rocket wing properties, although more speed would be fun. I am now thinking about just buying a smaller board...

Re: Which set do you recommend?

I ride lift 110, had LF thruster for a while, and have used old LF fish. Lift is more refined than the Thruster, in my opinion. Lift has better high end, same low end, feels less draggy, and better carving. Both are much better than fish, which I don’t think is good for anything but first lessons. ...

Re: Which set do you recommend?

You will get recommendations for larger wings such as the Moses 633 because they are so popular right now. Other popular larger wings are LF Impulse, Lift 170/150, etc. You should definitely consider these foils. However, if as you say you want similar properties to the LF Rocket but higher speed, ...

Which set do you recommend?

I've been riding my LF Rocket for three years now. I think that the properties of the wing are quite ok, rise early in low winds / low speed, easy to curve / jybe, stable and forgiving but quite slow. The board, on the other hand, is very heavy and bulky. I freeride strapless, usually in light wind ...

Re: North speedster GT ?

Please describe only the GT wing. The Speedster wing is uninteresting, so only the GT wing is of interest. It is easy to confuse the names and then the information becomes very confusing

Re: North speedster GT ?

It is the GT wing that I am interested in. I just freeride and want to continue doing that if I buy the GT wing. It can be fun with a higher speed on the GT wing, but lower stability and more power / speed to rise may be the price to pay for this smaller wing and that makes me doubtful

North speedster GT ?

Have anyone tried North speedster GT wings? Are they pretty fun and quick?
I have an LF Rocket but is thinking about something that's a bit faster but still quite stable and easily to gybe around with.

Re: On Shore Wave Kites

If you are in side shore waves or side off, the kite is parked and drifting downwind. Cabrinha Drifter is a great example of such a kite. If the wind has some on shore to it, you are forced to move the kite. Quick pivot turning without big pull is a big help. Naish Pivot is a great example. Direct ...

Re: splicing advice

The lines on my sparebar were quite tired from the loops and about 0.5 meters down. My friend cut the lines about 1 meter and splice new 1 meter dyneema pieces and made new loops. He has made loading tests of his splices, they holds about 90-100% of dyneema line capacity. I think it's an impressive ...

Re: How To Self-Land a Kite in High Winds

Perhaps it's not the best way in high winds, but it's quite beautifully done :)
