Re: Need info where to look for wind in April and May in DC area

Hi The best place to look for advice is: http://www.eastkb.com/ That forum is very active and has info about local spots, upcoming winds, etc. In general, the Chesapeake Bay is not beginner friendly, but there are 3-4 prominent launches. The local foil community is quite active, and there are great ...

Re: North Rebel 2018

Dan-at-North's profile lists him as NKB North American Sales Rep and as NKB Rep, West Coast/Canada/Baja. He's been active on the forum for over 7-years, and in general he comes across as a person who definitely supports his brand, but I don't recall him ever stooping to bashing other brands or wadin...

Re: so i tried kitesurfing, seems dangerous.

you have decided kiteboarding is dangerous. but it is way above things like golf or swimming . In the USA alone there are 3500+ drownings a year...and of interest only about 20% of those would be considered kids (14 and younger). I am of course aware of the disparity in the number of people who kit...

Banga foils? Banga hydrofoils (not a foil kite) along with Mike's Lab hydrofoils were the two dominant products in the last couple of rounds of international level hydrofoil racing competition last year, pretty much replacing Taaroa and Spotz who previously held the majority of the top ten racing s...

Re: Headed to SPI end of April

I am headed to SPI the end of April. I have 14, 12, 9, and 6m kites. Which ones could I leave home... Thanks BC A little more information about your weight, boards/style would be helpful. For instance, if your 75kg, riding only directional boards on the surf side, then I'm not sure if I'd leave the...

Re: Recommended small board for traveling

LF has a smaller board option in the form of the 4'5" Happy Foil board. Bigger than you indicated, but it has a track mount system (so it should work with LF & Zeeko), 3 straps, and with fins, it can be ridden if the conditions (too shallow, vegetation, etc) don't permit foiling. It should fit in mo...

Re: CRX - One Design Racing - Opinion

ir s pretty amazing that people feel so threatened by this new class. It seems that there is a mis-perception that NP is trying to exclude the Open class and monopolize kite racing as a whole. Let me say that I'm sceptical at best about NP's intention. They seemed to work very hard in the past to k...

Re: Directional kiteboard for waveriding

You might consider a skim board just for learning strapless. They are very efficient so you could learn the basics in flatter water without too much expense (especially if you buy used or last seasons closeouts). I believe one of the best strapless riders in the waves in Hatteras started out playing...

Re: next kites to consider?

i currently ride a quiver of 2010 and 2011 cab switchblades. i like them, but i dislike how slow turning they are, and the bar pressure is just too much. also i'm a woman and bar reach was such an issue for me Check out the Wainman Rabbit Gang. Certainly the bar reach/throw is nice and compact and ...

Coleman

Thanks for the review. Where did you get a demo? Is it a local shop or were they willing to ship it to you?
