Re: More wings, the hard way?

Looks like there are some roots in model aircraft planes...same with me. Just for fun I buil my own foil 2 years ago, works well, but front wing has too much of curve in it. You can watch the pictures here: http://surfforum.oase.com/showthread.php?t=162792 My idea was the following: - Design a wing ...

Re: Another DIY foil

hello, extremely interesting thread.....yesterday I just stopped myself buying a printer in the last second.....(loads of other projects...that don't get further due to time shortage...). just to let you know - a friend of mine made a printed foil this way, very much on the simple end, but there mig...

Re: sitting on the board to relaunch

my board is a "0" volume 148x48x2 cm Arriba Arriba foilboard. even on this board I sit to relaunch if the wind is below 12 knots or so. it lifts me just some centimeters but the situation gets much more balanced than when just swimming without board. and, when I sit on the board, I don't loose it. i...

Re: Big wings

just to mention I also built a front wing out of XPS molds more than a year ago. the mistake I made was to much anhedral curve but the wing and the whole foil works very well and I still use it sometimes in this german article you will see at least some photos of the big red front wing (size and pro...

Re: New Wing from Levitaz: Cruizer

so now about the speed: professional foilboarder Florian Gruber (Germany) already reached 50 km/h top speed with the cruizer. my friend mario l. (designer from Levitaz) is a very good foiler, but not professional, and he not heavy at all (maybe 65 kgs I dont know) told me that he reached 45 kmh with...

Re: Is Shinn going to produce his own foil?

Aren't shinn and zeeko both made in Poland? I wouldn't be surprised if the shinn masts are made from the same extrusions as zeeko. Given their recent collaboration, I'd say you are probably correct. as far as I know Shinn was together with Nobile before, Nobile makes Boards for a lot of Brands. Nob...

Re: New Wing from Levitaz: Cruizer

hello flaps, I'm not from levitaz, but everything you write I can answer with YES. I weight about 98 kgs actually and I use the wing for exactly what you describe. (Owning also an aspect and an element wing, I know about the difference). Only thing I don't have numbers for the speed - my estimation ...

New Wing from Levitaz: Cruizer

hello, Levitaz has a new front wing out now (will be on the homepage within the next days, they say). Me and some friends were foiling a prototype already months ago, and I have my serial wing since about two weeks: We all found the "cruizer" extremely fun and good for learning manoeuveres and extre...

Levitaz Element has been tested by Gleiten.tv

German Language

the testers were pretty stoked (as I am...)

they say:
damm fast for an intermediate / freeride / freestyle foil
very very smooth riding, very agile
very good also in light winds
exceptional manufacturing quality
