Re: The future of foiling

Wing is ok if you can't kite foil, but if you can then kite foil runs rings around it in every situation except long swell rides purely using wave energy. (can't drift a kite as well as you can feather a foil). If you're wanting to purely ride swell then e-assist runs circles around wing (nothing to...

Re: Windrange on foil - what kite to get?

The downside of most LEI single struts I've used is that you can collapse the leading edge really easily. I have collapsed the tips of my clouds a couple times, but only because I had a leak in the bladder. When pumped properly I’ve never had it happen. I'm 100kgs and loop my Ultra Teams (6m, 9m, 1...

Re: Windrange on foil - what kite to get?

Hi all! I have a 12m fs soul which I like for low end foiling (7-14kn). For the slightly higher wind I wanna get preferably 1 kite to have a nice experience with and practice gybes and tacks further. -Wind range it needs to cover is between 10 and let's say gusting 19/20 knots. -I'm 72kg -I'm ridin...

Re: Beginner progression

A few of us made the choice not to switch feet - we are super comfy 50% toeside and switch doesn't bring that many benefits. That's a valid option.

Re: e-Foil Drive Gen 2 ? An honest review & test

I'm sick to F*king death of wing foil getting shoved down my neck by every kite company, pro rider, social media etc on the assumption that hey kite is cancelled and you all love wing now. The hydrofoil section of KITEforum is the last pure refuge of kite foilers.

Decent vid but not relevant for kite foil, posted in the wrong place.

Re: Does size matter?

Isn't it the other way around a longer mast is less stable that's why beginner learn on a shorter mast. A longer mast means the movement that you have to do to keep the foil stable is accentuated by the leverage effect. No, longer mast = more stable by far especially in pitch. Basically you are fur...

Same topic. viewtopic.php?f=196&t=2415655

Many slingshots (dwarfcraft) snap when pumping, I think they might hold up a little better kiting but it's something to watch for.

Re: North navigator Pro

Looks great to me, I can't see an issue with the amount of red. I guess it depends on riding style.

It seems like there's 2 PU centre lines rather than current single line? Does this mean they've been separated for auto untwist?
