Re: Min wind for king gee 150x50, contra 15m and 85kgs

I weigh 82kg and used to have exactly the same board and kite combination, and in 12-14 knots could stay upwind no problem. It was my summer lightwind kit. Correction: my King Gee was 146x46 cool. what's the lowest wind you tried it successfully in? thanks for all the replies! didn't expect so many...

Min wind for king gee 150x50, contra 15m and 85kgs

Hi, Welcome all. What do you think is the minimum wind to stay upwind on cabrinha contra 15m and shinn king gee 150x50? My weight is 85 kg (177lbs). Re: Boots Vs Foot Straps

Got to add these have changed the game a bit for straps, you can really get to lock your feet in, shame they don't make them to fit boards other than Carved/Core. If you mean the snowboard buckle, shinn makes them too. With one buckle though: http://surfhangar.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/b7b441_...

There is a very small flat area in the rivers estuary which is usually crowded and a lot of space on the sea with chop that is a little better than in Tarifa. other option when it's too strong in tarifa is caños de meca. but ther...

Re: Current info for Dakhla

I didn't stay in the town but there are hotels so it would be fairly easy to find somewhere to rent in Dakhla town. I think its about 30-35k from the airport/town to where the kiting happens on the lagoon. That being said the road runs through a spit of land that has water on both sides. Waves on t...

Re: Current info for Dakhla

Is it possible to stay in dakhla town and kite from there? are there any spots close to the town? Is renting a car necessary in that case? Seems like it would be still cheaper if someone is coming for a month or two and you have a bigger choice of accommodation and restaurants. The camps are very ex...
