Re: Water repellent spray... again

http://www.ultramar-products.com/en/sho ... t-coating/

buying this stuff since years, my kites last longer, stay light after crashing which is crucial with light wind hydrofoiling, etc.

Buy the liter can and spray it on.

North Gambler repair advice

Aloha, My buddy not only ripped his hamstrings to shreds but also Ripped out one boot of his track system. The inserts came through clean out of the rail. Warranty expired two years ago. My buddy is all in tears to get his board fixed by the time he heals up, I guess option 1 is fyberglass and epoxy...

Re: Recommended Walkie talkies for Lessons

Hi, The BB-talking works great but the range is actually quite limited. I would say it starts cracking up from around 400 meters. Otherwise they work great. Just buy any cheap brand walkies, they dont have to be waterproof and put them in a Aquapac, you can even put the radios in a ziploc into the a...

Belgium kitesurfer passes away in Brazil

Just saw on a local Belgium forum that 40 year old Pierre Caulus from Brussels made a fatal crash on the water in Brazil last week.

No further details to be found, anybody knows more?

How to tweak Airush sliding stopper?

Aloha, Being very happy with my Airush Lithium but I am a little annoyed with the sliding stopper. When you unspin the bar the sliding stopper moves up every time, thus rendering the throw very safe but not keeping the bar in acceptable reach. I guess its great for safety of beginners and the like b...

Dice 2014 Deforming, any solutions?

Aloha fellow kitesurfers, Anybody else having problems with their 2014 North Dice? In medium wind my 7m is behaving fine but when the wind gets over 30 knots, the kite can not hold its shape en sort of turns into a c-shape without any jumping performance. In the kiteschool I work we have the same pr...

Re: Washing kites with chlorinated water bad for the coating

I went through some older threads about the same topic and found mixed opinions. Still I find it hard to believe that rinsing my kites with tap water is bad. Obviously you have to let them dry completely . I got told that sharp salt crystals on your canopy are way worse then rinsing it once in a whi...

Washing kites with chlorinated water bad for the coating?

Hi guys, Today I got told at the kite school where I work that we shouldnt wash the kites, because the chlorinated water is actually taking of the protective coating. So the boss claims it is better to keep the kites salty then washing them once every few weeks or so. He says that if we would have a...
