28" works really well. You can still turn pretty hard provided you stay close to the water without breaching. Everything else is normal with the added bonus of being able to start in pretty shallow locations.

Will your downwinder include riding waves? Are the conditions onshore, cross shore, cross on, cross off? Conditions side onshore with small waves and choppyy. I would have thought the News networks was in a precarious legal situation with it's reporter out there in Nuclear Wind!!!

Looked like the guy was on an 8m or 10m kite. Looked like bouncy but fun conditions.

I was experimenting on how slow I could go in a straight line without coming off the foil yesterday, got down to 17km/h and felt I could have gone a lot slower.

It is a carving machine.

So are the XLW wings slow enough to "surf" a small wave? I had a run in some small waves over the weekend. The XLW can still get up some speed but they do not feel as "fast down the wave as the Carver". I did get going fast enough in 10 knot conditions to move faster than my kite and drop it in the...

thanks for the answer. is the lack of up wind ability in combination with a directional board as bad as it is with a twintip board? i mean the up wind ability of directionals is by far better than the up wind ability of twintips. At the moment im riding evos, and ive been ridden evos for many years...
