Re: Water relaunchable Single skin hybrid Monjet Ninox, is this the future?

I love where the design has gone. I have been dreaming about foils with single skin TE sections maybe the last third single skin the first two thirds double. I think the balance improvement and flag effect on the TE will make it an incredible kite for drifting on waves. Now seeing something close to...

Re: Funalexed Pansh Aurora

It has been a while since I have touched mine, but I was adjusting my ABCZ mixer settings quite far from I believe the funalex settings, I think I got it to slack B depowered. The kite was flying quite well, and was comparing well with the A15. I remember there is a bridle on the tip I think A that ...

Re: Speed 3 bridle stretching how to

I did use 15kg before but with a good technique so the bridles don't break 25-30kg works well.

Re: Kitemare on my Diablo

swimming with foils is never easy, best bet is to pack them up, try rolling the water out.

Re: Speed 3 bridle stretching how to

Yes they reshrink, but it has never seemed quick to me, but I haven't measured. Maybe the force you use is a factor, the higher the longer it lasts?

Re: Recoating kite fabric

Yer and axel used the marine goop which has anti UV additives. They are probably worth using over the regular stuff if you can get it.

Re: Speed 3 bridle stretching how to

I offer some more info. I started the stretching thing because of a paraglider pilot. He stated that they do it regularly, particular the brake lines and competition gliders will do it during competition sometimes multiple times in one comp. It does work and I can think of no easier way to get unsym...

Re: Recoating kite fabric

So I’d say adding a styrene butadiene rubber coating can decrease the porousness of fabric whereas wax, silicon, and/or urethane coatings did not seem to. It's good stuff, UV is the only concern. I might have missed it in this post but did anyone test to see if the porosity was mostly at the seams ...

Re: How to check your lines length balance?

Saying something is untrue does not so make it. You obviously have never tried my method or you would not jump so quick to attack me. If you use 50lbs of force on two lines in unison then all that is going to happen is you stretch the shorter of the two and end up with more even lines, which may be ...

Re: How to check your lines length balance?

I wonder why I get so much skepticism sometimes. Anyway it's a simple enough device, some rope and a pulley. It's the physic of the 2 lines reaching equilibrium through a pulley and you observe the length difference over a less than 10cm width VS observe the slight subtleties of two sags match...
