Re: Strutless kite review Gong vs Cloud

Nice review.

Pity Gong don't match the low weight of the Cloud. Imho that is the main benefit of strutless.

Greg seems to have imposed the distributor model on himself, how nuanced . He is not going to grow his market share quickly with those prices.

Re: Nitro 7 Proto Photos

What an article. Should I be happy or sad they directly ripped things from my posts. It's the internet who posts articles in that format anyway. So convoluted to read. To save the readers, the thing reads as one big ad for Cabrinha and Duotone. As to stacyswitch, who signs up and with their first po...

Re: Tube vs Softkite - an epic battle?

You are just dreaming if you think any tube can match a foil in lightwind. You are only arguing an 18 or 21m kite is boring because you don't have one or don't have the imagination to use it. I don't think tubes have the same range at all. Is there a tube kite that can do 15 to 45knots? or at the ex...

Re: Tube vs Softkite - an epic battle?

Well the market decided with the help of lot of misinformation aka marketing. Now the performance advantages of foil kites are well proven, unbeatable in races and lightwind. Question of when they start to win something like KOTA, which would be when they are used. A lot more people are now using fo...

Re: The Pansh A15, an A18 review

Although it is suggested Pansh does this, which is a good thing if it improves the kites, there is the possibility you haven't measured a 9m before and the setup for that is different. If Pansh is updating kites some mention of it would be good. With regards to the changes. Shorter Z is well known b...

Re: HyperLink 7m vs Soul 6m - wave performance

Try going out in wind changing direction regularly by 45 to 90 degrees or ride 15knots at the kite on the window edge down a wave in 10knot of wind. Everything over flys. There is some LEIs that are very hard to overfly. I don't like them as you can't slack the lines on waves. They are always pullin...

Re: New foil kite in a hail storm

Self launching and landing is easier on a foil kite, it is their advantage. No tethered launch or land is not easier, but also not necessary.

Re: HyperLink 7m vs Soul 6m - wave performance

All kites overfly. Foil kites overfly more because of inertia and efficient profile which also gives their good qualities. There is no way I would believe the hyperlink doesn't overfly.

Mythbusters would argue yes you can. Pansh is not a turd if that is what you are implying.

Re: Foil Kite folding in half when going upwind!?

Me and the expert do make a mess in threads. Nash556 didn't get back here again I assume he has no more problem. Funny though Nash556 got talked out of a Pansh because someone suggested he might have to adjust their bridles. Adjusting bridles is a fact of life with foils, all brands need it at some ...
