Re: Safety Alert: Cabrinha 2017 Power Bracket Seat Replacement

Any word on the new plastic piece/fix? Does it solve the issue or too early to tell for sure? Please note the recall doesn't fix the issue of the line fraying/getting damage. Check the line when doing the swap, if it's frayed/worn you need to replace the bungee line and the lower front line segment...

Re: Shorter Depower Travel : B setting Cabrinha

On the B setting the turning speed is not less, this is a misconception. You will have to pull harder on the bar, but it will turn fine. Kite won't turn faster or slower in either setting as long as you are insistent on moving it! I have 9m drifter. 12m switchblade and 12m fx, these are my experienc...

Re: How many kites one needs?

At the rate I'm going through kites since starting on this sport.... 90 is quite feasible hahahaha Don't even start with boards: - Two twintips, one for flat and one for chop - Surfboards: 1 for small/med surf, 1 for big surf, 1 for jumping and boosting - Foils: 1 for speed, one for carving, and dif...

Re: Typical HF Learning curve

I didnt say that you have to win anything, if you put yourself inside a F1 you will be able to drive it , just not fast enough to win anything Probably not, F1 cars need a certain amount of speed to keep everything in working condition. Not enough speed: not enough temp for the brakes to work, tire...

Re: New 9m kite

I'm wondering if Neo will work good in light winds, does it backstall? It will back-stall... beautifully. That's what surf kites are design for, back stalling in a nice and predictable way that you can recover. I find my surf kite has a lot more feel when it's going to back-stall than my all round ...

Re: Switch Element?

Thanks Oz. I am only interested in free ride, so speed and upwind performance aren't super important to me. I'm still learning to air jibe, but I'm loving flying smaller kites, even if that makes staying on foil more difficult at this stage. The price is the main draw, but the promo video for the E...

Re: Cabrinha double agent vs LF Rocket/Happy

I would recommend the Happy Foil - better board, light board, higher AR wing. You wont outgrow this one, like you will with the Rocket and Cab that are the easiest ones, but very shortsighted. 8) PF Is it easy to learn on? Have in mind that you can get the wings from the rocket foil and put them on...

Re: Cabrinha double agent vs LF Rocket/Happy

There are two features that make LF superior: 1. Upgradeability 2. Mount system Admittedly, #2 is minor detail, allowing the user to unscrew the plate bolts only half way. It would save perhaps 1 min assembly/disassembly time. The first point is more significant. As of today, you can purchase faste...

Re: Kite Surfboards vs "normal" Surfboards

I did get them from a local shop as I needed them fast after loosing one of the fins at sea, but I'm curious about the amazon/Chinese ebay comment. Is that because or fake products like with memory cards? Because the surf hardgoods industry is small and by buying from amazon and chinese sellers who...
