Re: Pansh Aurora II 10m - one item off bucket list

BTW having a slight backstall when fully powered-up can be useful for snowkite application ; I am not saying Pansh did it on purpose, but I personally like this and do not mind to trim 5 cm if i want to cancel it. And I very often use a bit of trim on my HF. Mesmerizing :) Can you explain in more d...

Re: Predictions for Ram Airs in 2018

I'm sure all the Ram Air kites out there will really suck this year. The closed-cell foil kites, however, will continue to shine!

Re: Beginner kites with the best safety systems?

Are you sure almost all changed to single frontline QR? The ones that do not do this still have pretty decent safeties these days. I'd do some internet research on the major brands, you can look at their control systems on their websites and see which have the SLFO system. I can definitively say th...

Re: Foil kite resistance against hitting the water

I think if you're going to destroy a foil it's by taking it flying full of sand or water and putting too much stress on the stitching. Tomahawking a kite LE side down is never good, but I think the forces are much greater when trying to relaunch a drenched kite versus just overpressurizing it intern...

Re: Diable line of Elf Joker7

You can tune the bridle as well as your bar so that when you let out your trimmer all the way and pull the bar against the chicken loop it increases the final ratios of the bridle to greatly increase camber for more downwind angle. When I first flew my 15m, my flying lines were all equal length with...

Re: how do you sand your wings...?

I'm crazy confused on sanding...if you keep sanding month after month you are going to eat into the epoxy too much. Are you sanders spraying the entire mast, fuselage, and wings with some type of spray paint then sanding? Ideally you're only using rough paper once or twice ever in the life of the f...

Re: best SUP for super light wind kiting

If I had the cash to burn on a 120L SUP with a foil track and a Naish Thrust Foil I would totally give it a go for foiling with my 12m kite. reasons: - I like the adventure of going places when foiling, often 5 km downwind then 10 km back upwind. Having a 120L SUP to knee paddle back on if the wind...
